New Stamps!

Snowman

snow happensHello Everyone!

Getting a slow start to my day this morning…long drive home from Bloomington, MN last night!

We had an awesome time in MN.  Saw some old friends and met some new friends.  A great show!  The best selling stamp was this little DD60 stamp

DD60that we used here on this card.  It works with the 1.25″ scallop circle but is first punched with a 1″ circle punch.  All of our new fun cubes were designed to fit inside of these stamps.  All were designed to fit on the triple circle Z fold cards from The Paper Cut.  This will be one of our new Make n Takes starting in Novi, MI.

We have a extremely busy schedule ahead of us.  We begin the month of August with Novi, Mi…then Stampaway in Cincinnati,  OH…then on to Collinsville, IL and we just got a call from Scrapbook Expo for the St. Charles show the very next weekend!  Whew!  maybe I’ll be so busy I won’t have time to eat and I’ll lose some weight!  One can always hope! right!

Better get downstairs and help Travis with making stamps.  Have a super Monday.

Happy Friday

Creatures, Owls

Well today has been quite a busy day! It started with a 6am alarm and has not slowed down. Today is my turn to blog, so I’ll tell you about our day. Met Beth and Kevin (M&D for Mom and Dad) last night at the hotel not knowing M had plans to get up and ready for work at 6AM. If I had known that I would have stayed at my place! JK, it is really good to spend time with them. We had breakfast at 7am and were ready to rock and roll, well sort of, it sometimes takes awhile. I need a lot of coffee to get going. You may not realize this and it has taken me many years to learn but mom’s are usually always right. I may regret saying that later… Anyway, mom suggested I go to the DMV at 8am right away before people get there to renew my license. My plan was to go at around 11AM. Well, I went at 8am but Siri sent me on a wild goose chase to some gated community with no DMV in sight. Not a good start to the morning, so after asking google maps app, I finally arrived at the correct place and had that taken care of really quickly because the waiting line was really short. After that went straight to the Ramada hotel where the stamp convention is at. Please forgive my distraction here because I think Siri is kinda funny. So I told D how Siri was being naughty and he asked how she would respond if I told her that. Her response was…

So sassy, but after that the real fun begins! M brought the new stamps to the show and they are just adorable. I love tiny things and these little stamps are so cute. M made the Clara owl tiny to fit into the circle cards and DD60 circle stamps.

Trying not to get too distracted by the cute new stuff, I labeled and packaged some before heading to work. These DD55 phrases can fit in a ton of different scenarios and are not limited.

After M&D and Trav, set up the booth, they met me in Uptown at Famous Dave’s for dinner over my “lunch” break. Loved that they could come and join me! Whew, can’t believe it is 11pm already. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and hope to see some of you at the show in Bloomington tomorrow and Sunday. Caring Thoughts

Get Well Soon

caring thoughtsSo just a quick post this morning!

I love this daisy punch because it takes the place of ribbon.  Why use expensive ribbon when you can use a thin piece of scrap paper!

I finally broke down and bought an air conditioner for the studio!  Gasp it was sooooo hot!  It’s now a comfortable 78 degrees instead of 95 degrees!  I can work in 78 degree weather….not so much in 95 degrees!  With a busy schedule for August coming up I was just a little nervous about getting too hot up here and not being able to work.

The new stamps have arrived and we should have them for the Bloomington show!  I still have a little more to do on them this morning so I better get moving!  The cards are awesome and they’ll start showing up next week!  Have a great weekend!

wishing ewe….

Uncategorized

wishing ewewishing ewe insideIt is hot here in WI!  Like really HOT!  88 degrees in studio already and it’s early!  Won’t be up here for long.  Love the lamb stamp.. the inside stamp actually has wishing you above what I stamped but I just didn’t ink them since the front is already wishing…

The new stamps are here and they are awesome!  Made a couple quick cards this morning which should show up on the blog next week.  If you live in the Minneapolis area be sure and come see us at the Bloomington show.

Ikea Drawers

Studio Pictures

white drawer

white drawer2So this is what is inside those white Ikea drawers on my work space!  I have clear blocks and adhesive right at my finger tips.  I have my embossing powders currently in here too but they soon will be up on magnets!  I have the pictures frames all painted, I just need to take the time to get them up and put magnets on the powders.  Not sure when that will happen with the Bloomington show this weekend.

back doorWhile we were moving Karissa…I came upon this Wagner’s sign so I stole it from her. Doesn’t it look awesome on my back door!  I think my frame needs repainting white though.  All those dirty fingers hitting the garage door buttons.

Studio Attic Doors

Studio Pictures

attic1So this has been our project for the past few days…This is the opening into the studio’s attic.  It has been letting all the hot air in and since it’s already hot more hot air is not needed.  Kevin wanted something so he could get in and out of the area.  There is a hole like this on each side of the studio wall.  So he decided to build a door.  It was quite a project!  There was sawdust and a mess everywhere (still is! he’s not quite done!) He started with a door but the opening is only 18×22″ so it didn’t fit so some modifications were needed!  We painted the outside of the doors white.  And since I love to paint doors…we did the wrong side on one and had to re-paint!  Love when that happens :).  Anyway it’s looking really nice. Can’t wait for it to be done and the mess gone.  We had some gold knobs left over from some other project and I got my handy spray paint can out and now they are an awesome silver!

attic2Almost finished. He has a little more mudding to do and then the trim work.  Then the white wall will be painted and the stairs.  It’s getting there little by little.

This is what my counter looks like currently!  I really wanted to keep it neat but it’s really hard when things get rolling.

workspacePlus it upwards of 90 degrees right now so when it starts getting warm…I just abandon everything!

We have new stamps coming!  I’m really excited.  We designed them to work on these 3 circle z fold cards you see on my counter.  Lots of new fun cubes so that the words fit!  Check out the home page of our website for the latest images.  We are hoping to have them in Minnesota this weekend!  Have a good Tuesday!

Copic Markers

Studio Pictures

copicsI have a problem with wine racks!  I buy them all the time at Thrift stores.  They come in really handy.  These wine racks (along with some bins from Joanne Fabrics) hold my Copic markers.  They are right at my finger tips and I can just throw them back in when I’m done with them and just grab when I need one.  As you can see I color group them.  I do have more in a cupboard but these are the ones I use the most!

So on Friday I had great time shopping at Thrift Stores…found a small wine rack…for $1.00 going to bring it to Karissa to see if she wants it on her desk…it’s pretty cool!

wine rackI picked up some clear vases from the dollar store that I usually just use a glue gun to glue in place!  If she doesn’t want it..well you can never have enough storage!

tweetGood Monday to You!  We had a nice and hot weekend with lots of sunshine!  Hope yours was good too!

We have some new embossing folders in the booth and so I have a couple to show you this week.  I’m really into these birds on wires…not sure why but I like them!

These birds I do not really like…

baby birds

bird nestWhile we were gone on to W. Springfield, MA…these little birds Mama decided to build her nest on our front porch!  If I would have been home I would have stopped the nest building (my front porch is a mess now!) but once the eggs were there..well I couldn’t get rid of them.  As soon as they start flying though…..

Our World!

Our World

kb bedAs many of your know…we moved Karissa last week from Minneapolis to St. Paul.  I have been elected to Blog today since she still does not have internet.  How does one live without internet?  I’m not sure but she said she’s finished a couple of books and got a lot done!

She has had the same bed since she was probably 12!  We decided since the trundle to her bed was at our house and she wanted to move from a twin to a queen that we would bring her bed home and get her a new bed.  She had been wanting her Dad to build her something and he came up with a good one (well he had a lot of help from us)!  We bought all these shelves from IKEA (well I think we already had one!) and made her a bed!  It has cubby holes all around the base and then in the headboard.

As you maybe can tell…she just had a twin air mattress when we left because we ordered her mattress online (go figure!  We used a Groupon deal!) and it was delivered later.  She loves her bed and we like having a real bed in the guest room instead of just a trundle!

A beautiful weekend has been forecasted for WI!  No rain and 80 degrees!  We decided that we would paint the ugly slab and the pool deck so we went to Home Depot last night to get paint and it’s all backordered!  Ugh!  I guess this new Behr paint for deck re-do’s has been so successful that they can’t keep it in stock.  Should have bought it when it was raining so that I would have it now!  Oh well..what’s a girl to do?? Hit the Thrift Shops!  So I’m off!
