Happy Monday Morning! Here is a cute card with the new double rose! It colors so cute and fast.
Stamps Used: C263 hope everything rosy!; DD47 Double Circle Rose; HH28 Lines & Dots Combo Border
We had a busy weekend getting some things done. Paint just makes things look better so…I painted some things 🙂 We have some ugly stairs going up to the studio so we painted them on Friday! They look so much better! We can’t finish the wall until the air conditioner/heater gets put in.
We did a bunch more painting projects…:)
so this card I used the Sizzix die but extended the end that seems short to me. I extended it by not placing my top cutting board over the end. If you look in the comments there are a few instructions from customers that show other ways to extend and there is a you tube video showing how to extend. Love the purple and red…reminds of the purple hat ladies clubs!
Here is my latest project that I’ve been working on….
before our son left home this summer we had some family pictures taken. I had this old window that I bought with my birthday money from my Mom. I love using my birthday money from my Mom and Dad for special things. It just puts a smile on my face when I see the things in the house and remember my parents and just little things they do like birthday cards with money! 🙂
I love scrabble letters. Have used them for a few things. I made clean/dirty signs for dishwasher. I will try and show them tomorrow. Our names worked out perfectly with the scrabble letters.
how cute is that?!!
So while Karissa was driving over on Wednesday I wanted to check to see where she was so I sent her text. Because she was driving she used Siri to text her message and it was kind of amusing so I thought I would share it.
Bought this gem on the last thrift store expedition for $1.50. It was in a little rough condition but the mechanism worked good so generally worth it. It’s a bigger one to so bigger dies and folders will fit in it.
Here she is! All painted and ready to be filled!
So this orange is my new favorite color in the house! Because of the age of our house, everything needs replacement…counters…floors…you name it. This funky blue is on the back splash of the kitchen counter and Kevin says it can’t be replaced since it’s in good condition so what’s a girl to do but make it cool with orange! Karissa made the paper flowers and they go into an air freshener that freshens. The cabinet is my new junk drawers so that I don’t have to use my kitchen drawers. Of course everything else is thrift store finds! Got a few more things to do tonight so I should get going. Hope your Tuesday was good and looking forward to Hump Day!
As many of your know…we moved Karissa last week from Minneapolis to St. Paul. I have been elected to Blog today since she still does not have internet. How does one live without internet? I’m not sure but she said she’s finished a couple of books and got a lot done!
She has had the same bed since she was probably 12! We decided since the trundle to her bed was at our house and she wanted to move from a twin to a queen that we would bring her bed home and get her a new bed. She had been wanting her Dad to build her something and he came up with a good one (well he had a lot of help from us)! We bought all these shelves from IKEA (well I think we already had one!) and made her a bed! It has cubby holes all around the base and then in the headboard.
As you maybe can tell…she just had a twin air mattress when we left because we ordered her mattress online (go figure! We used a Groupon deal!) and it was delivered later. She loves her bed and we like having a real bed in the guest room instead of just a trundle!
A beautiful weekend has been forecasted for WI! No rain and 80 degrees! We decided that we would paint the ugly slab and the pool deck so we went to Home Depot last night to get paint and it’s all backordered! Ugh! I guess this new Behr paint for deck re-do’s has been so successful that they can’t keep it in stock. Should have bought it when it was raining so that I would have it now! Oh well..what’s a girl to do?? Hit the Thrift Shops! So I’m off!
