Birthday candles – Jan. 4, 2021

Birthday, Dull Glossy Paper

Good morning and happy new year! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. 🥳

The two cards today show different ways to color the EE53 skinny candles. One of our favorites is a gradient and the other is to add stripes/dots. With both, we start with the lightest color marker and then add the darker color. White paper is dull gloss. The pink striped background paper is from a paper pack. The green striped background we created using the HH28 dots and lines border stamp.

Snowman bib card – Oct. 7, 2020

Bib Cards, Christmas Cards, Dull Glossy Paper, Holiday, Snowman, Winter

Happy Wednesday! Does anyone make bib cards? If not, there is a die cut for it! It is a fun way to mix up layouts. Here we have a snowy Christmas card in dark blue. Was thinking of adding a red ribbon but didn’t have the right color nearby. Might add it later and then blog it again with another bib card!

Cutting Dies w/ matching stamp, flowers, Friendship, Hello

Hello! We have been having trouble with our indexing ink so I gave up making stamps today and decided to make cards instead.

Karissa bought a HUGE stack of paper at JoAnne’s this weekend and I scored some of this background paper. I wish I would have snagged more!

We were up bright and early this morning to start the trek to Orlando, FL. We plan to get to Clarksville TN if all goes well. Kevin forgot his coffee this morning so it’s not starting out so good.  We don’t make extra stops along the way so he has four hours before we stop and he can get coffee 😳

KB here, blogging for Beth since they are driving back to Wisconsin this afternoon. Earlier, the question of how I keep my mat so clean came up and it is simply baby wipes (the mat was fairly new too which helps). I think I bought this little pack for $1 at Target a couple months ago. Photo Feb 12, 4 00 18 PMSpeaking of cleaning, I was getting frustrated with my unmounted stamps and have been trying to figure out a good way to organize them. I have a binder, a bucket, and a rolodex. I’m still not sure which works best but today at Target, in the dollar section near the entrance, I found some containers which might work nice.

These are the containers I found. Photo Feb 12, 2 32 05 PM

This is what my bucket looked like before.

Photo Feb 12, 2 45 05 PM Photo Feb 12, 2 38 11 PMAs you can imagine, it is very difficult to find the one I want. Also, they get stuck together, bent, damaged, etc. It would be easier to leave them scattered all across the desk but that looks messy and the cat enjoys chewing on them.

This is kind of how it looks now.

Photo Feb 12, 3 46 01 PM (1)Photo Feb 12, 5 19 20 PMPhoto Feb 12, 2 51 21 PMThe dividers help keep them separated. Yet, I can still keep all the cube words and the reverse sets together. The larger stamps don’t fit in any of the containers but I think they will work better in the binder anyway. If anyone has a good suggestion or something that works for them, we are all ears (or eyes since we will probably be reading your responses)! Happy Thursday!

So Grateful

Thanksgiving

so grateful

so grateful inside

We are so grateful for everything in life!  I was groaning about all the stamps we were making and whining a little 😦 and Kevin said what if no one liked your stamps and you had no stamps to make?  What a perspective!  So happy for all my work! 🙂

Here was my commute to work this morning!  So Beautiful!
