Love Siri

Our World, Studio Pictures

siri

So while Karissa was driving over on Wednesday I wanted to check to see where she was so I sent her text.  Because she was driving she used Siri to text her message and it was kind of amusing so I thought I would share it.

in the roughBought this gem on the last thrift store expedition for $1.50.  It was in a little rough condition but the mechanism worked good so generally worth it.  It’s a bigger one to so bigger dies and folders will fit in it.

painted and readyHere she is!  All painted and ready to be filled!

Bookish Owl

Birthday

another year wiserI love this new owl from Karissa!  We call him the “bookish owl”.  I’ve used him for a “sending love” card, for a graduation card, for a birthday card.  So useful!

DD55So these are the four stamps on the Owl Fun Cube.  I’m currently working on a coffee fun cube!

Copics Used: E33, E25, E47, R24, R29, B93, & B95

Have a great Thursday…Friday is almost here 🙂

Die Cut Storage

Studio Pictures

die cut storageSo our son Travis was a huge Pokemon fan when he was little and he had a huge pile of them all organized in this binder!  Well he no longer cares about Pokemon and so his cards went to Goodwill (I bring as much to Goodwill as I buy! :)) but I kept the binder and use it for my little dies!  It works well!

Kevin used this binder in 4th grade!  ok so I know that I am a pack rat but I think his mother saved it and gave it to us; so repurpose it is the only way to go!

Karissa came home this weekend so we are going to be very busy I’m sure.  Although she said she plans to spend the entire weekend in her swimming suit…she misses the pool at home probably more than  us!  Both of our children were Lifeguards in another time of their lives so they love the water.

I got my slab painted (sorry Ronda…nothing fancy just plain brown :()  but it looks so much better than peeling paint!

Think Snow!

Snowman

bookish gradIt’s an absolute perfect day here in WI!  The weather is around 64 degrees- warm but cool.  The temperature in the studio is perfect!  Should get lots done today which is a good thing since I have lots to do.  Travis is almost done vulcanizing for the Novi, MI show so then begins the task of making and packaging the stamps!  Not my favorite thing! 🙂  Too tedious for me but it has to be done 🙂

The house is clean (for those of you just following…I clean the house every Wednesday if possible)  I really wanted to skip it this morning but knew it would just make next week harder.  By cleaning every week it just keep things neater and less stressful for me. So I got up early and got it done.  Karissa is coming home tonight for the weekend…not that we’ll see her much she has all kinds of plans.

You may have notice a couple of new links to the right…we have been uploading cataloged images.  Check them out.

My New Favorite Color!

Our World

kitchenSo this orange is my new favorite color in the house!  Because of the age of our house, everything needs replacement…counters…floors…you name it.  This funky blue is on the back splash of the kitchen counter and Kevin says it can’t be replaced since it’s in good condition so what’s a girl to do but make it cool with orange!  Karissa made the paper flowers and they go into an air freshener that freshens.  The cabinet is my new junk drawers so that I don’t have to use my kitchen drawers.  Of course everything else is thrift store finds!  Got a few more things to do tonight so I should get going.  Hope your Tuesday was good and looking forward to Hump Day!

Bee Happy!

Creatures, Friendship, smile

beeWhew…lots going on today.  Just little things that are time consuming to take care of!  But I’m loving these new Z fold cards with our new fun cubes.  Here is the Bee Fun Cube.

New Stamps!

Snowman

snow happensHello Everyone!

Getting a slow start to my day this morning…long drive home from Bloomington, MN last night!

We had an awesome time in MN.  Saw some old friends and met some new friends.  A great show!  The best selling stamp was this little DD60 stamp

DD60that we used here on this card.  It works with the 1.25″ scallop circle but is first punched with a 1″ circle punch.  All of our new fun cubes were designed to fit inside of these stamps.  All were designed to fit on the triple circle Z fold cards from The Paper Cut.  This will be one of our new Make n Takes starting in Novi, MI.

We have a extremely busy schedule ahead of us.  We begin the month of August with Novi, Mi…then Stampaway in Cincinnati,  OH…then on to Collinsville, IL and we just got a call from Scrapbook Expo for the St. Charles show the very next weekend!  Whew!  maybe I’ll be so busy I won’t have time to eat and I’ll lose some weight!  One can always hope! right!

Better get downstairs and help Travis with making stamps.  Have a super Monday.

Beth

Happy Friday

Creatures, Owls

Well today has been quite a busy day! It started with a 6am alarm and has not slowed down. Today is my turn to blog, so I’ll tell you about our day. Met Beth and Kevin (M&D for Mom and Dad) last night at the hotel not knowing M had plans to get up and ready for work at 6AM. If I had known that I would have stayed at my place! JK, it is really good to spend time with them. We had breakfast at 7am and were ready to rock and roll, well sort of, it sometimes takes awhile. I need a lot of coffee to get going. You may not realize this and it has taken me many years to learn but mom’s are usually always right. I may regret saying that later… Anyway, mom suggested I go to the DMV at 8am right away before people get there to renew my license. My plan was to go at around 11AM. Well, I went at 8am but Siri sent me on a wild goose chase to some gated community with no DMV in sight. Not a good start to the morning, so after asking google maps app, I finally arrived at the correct place and had that taken care of really quickly because the waiting line was really short. After that went straight to the Ramada hotel where the stamp convention is at. Please forgive my distraction here because I think Siri is kinda funny. So I told D how Siri was being naughty and he asked how she would respond if I told her that. Her response was…

So sassy, but after that the real fun begins! M brought the new stamps to the show and they are just adorable. I love tiny things and these little stamps are so cute. M made the Clara owl tiny to fit into the circle cards and DD60 circle stamps.

Trying not to get too distracted by the cute new stuff, I labeled and packaged some before heading to work. These DD55 phrases can fit in a ton of different scenarios and are not limited.

After M&D and Trav, set up the booth, they met me in Uptown at Famous Dave’s for dinner over my “lunch” break. Loved that they could come and join me! Whew, can’t believe it is 11pm already. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and hope to see some of you at the show in Bloomington tomorrow and Sunday. Caring Thoughts

Get Well Soon

caring thoughtsSo just a quick post this morning!

I love this daisy punch because it takes the place of ribbon.  Why use expensive ribbon when you can use a thin piece of scrap paper!

I finally broke down and bought an air conditioner for the studio!  Gasp it was sooooo hot!  It’s now a comfortable 78 degrees instead of 95 degrees!  I can work in 78 degree weather….not so much in 95 degrees!  With a busy schedule for August coming up I was just a little nervous about getting too hot up here and not being able to work.

The new stamps have arrived and we should have them for the Bloomington show!  I still have a little more to do on them this morning so I better get moving!  The cards are awesome and they’ll start showing up next week!  Have a great weekend!

wishing ewe….

Uncategorized

wishing ewewishing ewe insideIt is hot here in WI!  Like really HOT!  88 degrees in studio already and it’s early!  Won’t be up here for long.  Love the lamb stamp.. the inside stamp actually has wishing you above what I stamped but I just didn’t ink them since the front is already wishing…

The new stamps are here and they are awesome!  Made a couple quick cards this morning which should show up on the blog next week.  If you live in the Minneapolis area be sure and come see us at the Bloomington show.
