Another day…

Halloween

photo 1-1it’s another halloween card today.  It’s been a complicated day beginning with no milk for breakfast, no cream for the coffee, and no groceries in the house!  But I do have my laundry all caught up, groceries in the house, suitcases put away, all the orders have gone out, the bills have all been paid,  and I have a good start on getting stamps done for the next show which is in two weeks. Not bad for a Tuesday 🙂

I have been working on a quilt for my niece and I have three rows left on it so it’s in my plans to have that done before I leave for the Mesa, AZ show.  I got it all cut out and basted together this evening so now I just need to get sewing…so I think I’ll do that!  Have a good evening.

Gift Card Holders

best sisterGood Morning!  It’s 5 am and we and up and ready to head home today.  Drove 5 hours last night and have a good 12-13 hours to go today!

We were in Baltimore Ravens county this weekend and the Green Bay Packers were playing in Baltimore and I guess we were only about an hour from the game!  How fun would it have been to be at that game?!  The Packers pulled off a win!  Whew, we needed a win.

Met these ladies at the York, PA show this weekend…how adorable are those t-shirts?  Pretty sure my sister and I need these!  I haven’t been home much and I miss my sister!

While in York, PA this weekend we did the coffee cup make n takes and they were well received ! I started thinking about how cool they would be as a gift card holder so on Sunday I set out to make one!  Here is it…

starbucks gift card 2How cute is that?  The gift card looks like it sticks really far out of the cup in the pictures but is really about half way and looks good!  I used the Lots of Dots border stamp because it really is one of my favorites !  Well, we had better get going.  Have a good Monday.

happy day birdHappy Friday!  The weekend is here.  We are in York, PA getting ready to leave to set-up at the York show.  It is rainy like crazy here.  We got 5 inches in just 12 hours.  It should stop rainy today.  For information regarding the show go to http://www.heirloompro.com for the latest info.

halloween2We made it to Cleveland, OH last night.  Our hotel room has no heat so it’s a little chilly!  Not sure what’s wrong with the heat but it’s a good thing there were two beds in our room since we stole all the covers from the other bed!

Here’s another halloween card to get you in the mood for halloween.  Still haven’t gotten the new stamps on the website yet but we should have good internet most of the way today.  Almost to the weekend!

halloweenIt’s certainly October here in WI.  We have been having beautiful fall weather.

Here’s a simple Halloween card…the bats in the background is one of our new stamps.  I’m hoping to get them on our website today along with the Halloween Fun Cube.  The ghost DD44 and Boo B259 should already be on the website.

Off and running to York PA for the Heirloom Paper and Rubber Stamp Festival.  Running a little late already 😦 so better go moving!

coffee cupHappy to be home for a short while!  Planning a friend weekend with some of my girlfriends up in Door  County and it’s coming up in a few weeks so getting excited!  But I have to go to work this weekend!?  Just seems like work gets in the way of life 🙂 necessary evil 🙂 lucky I have a great job!

Snow Happens!

photo 2so this weekend while we were in Mandan, ND we had 1.5″ of snow and it was a mess but beautiful large snowflakes.  So this week I have a couple snowman cards and then Karissa has made a few halloween cards which will follow.  If you notice I used the AA10 and AA15 dots in the background.  I often use them in middle of flowers and different ways they  are just a simple addition to cards.

Well, we are still in Fargo, ND and have many hours to travel today so that we can have a couple days in our own bed and then off again for the York, PA show.

 

It’s Friday!

photo 4We could use some coffee this morning!  It’s a cold one…they are expecting snow here.  Kevin’s all excited, my brother who spent most of last year overseas is excited, Kevin’s sister Tamara who is from CA and doesn’t see much snow is excited…I think I’m the only one not excited!

I like the chevron border.  It can take the place of ribbon and balance out a card.  Have a great weekend!

photo 1Here’s a little 4 oz coffee cup decorated up for a gift!  How cute to put a starbucks gift card in this!?  I was just thinking we could cut a slit in the top and do something cute with it.  I’ll have to try that when I get back home.

We are in Bismarck, ND where snow is being predicted?!! gasp!  not ready for snow but I do have a winter coat and boats so I guess I am ready!  We are attending a church convention with my brother and sister in law so very special.

Oops!

snowman2mntOk so I goofed!  I meant to do this card yesterday and yesterday’s card today!  Sometimes I just do not have it all together 🙂  I love this embossing folder from Darice.  I used it on the front of the card too but only a section of it.  This is how the folder looks.

We have arrived in Bismarck, ND for our mini vacation.  Kevin lived in this area until he was in sixth grade and so we are on a grand adventure.  Hard to imagine that we travel for a living and traveling for a grand adventure but such is life.  We traveled to Elk River, MN yesterday and stayed at my folks for “bed and breakfast!” and then off to Bismarck today.

Friendship

sarah frogOh my goodness…it’s a beautiful day here in WI!  It’s perfect, the sun is out and the temp is a perfect 70 degrees!

This morning I have a card from Sarah at The Paper Cut.  It is their topnote z fold card.  How cute is that!

We are leaving this morning for a little mini vacation!  We are turning over a new leaf and taking time to smell the roses!  I really have the itch to stamp this morning so off we go!
