Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! It is not currently camping weather here in WI but we are looking forward to going this summer. Hopefully, we’ll have some good weather. The background on this card is actually a wood texture and came in a 12×12 packet. Can’t remember which though. Possibly bought it at Joann’s. The camper was colored with alcohol ink markers. White paper is dull gloss and link is here: https://shopec.com/shop/ols/products/dull-glossy-paper
Back with Valentine’s! On this card, the heart border on the left was created with A190 Tiny Heart stamp. The owl was colored with alcohol ink markers. Don’t look too close to the words! I was using dull gloss paper and my hands had some lotion so I smudged it a bit when I was glueing the pieces together. 🤦🏻♀️
A little break from valentines with yesterday’s sympathy and today’s birthday card. I love these skinny candles and love blending the alcohol ink markers. I had one little issue with the dark blue that it just wasn’t blending well. I tried putting it on first and then the lighter color and then tried reverse. Not sure why it dried so fast but oh well! That sometimes happens. Things don’t always go as planned. Still love how these look though!
A quick sympathy card today. This is a clean layout with just one layering swatch and two stamps. The flower is EE65 and was colored with alcohol ink markers. The ribbon hole was created with EK Success Vertical Slot punch.
Good morning, happy Tuesday and thank you for all the messages and well wishes!
We have another Valentine owl card because it is just so much fun to color. And the books can be colored to match whatever card stock paper is used. Anyone else really into Valentines this year? Mostly it passes without much notice but this year, all things pink and red!
This paper has a high risk of smudging! Use a waterproof ink pad and be sure if you touch the paper that your hands are clean and dry! I love the look of it but really need to be careful when handling because it does take a long time to dry. I’ll even leave my images to dry overnight before returning to color with the alcohol ink markers.
Brown owl sitting on stack of two pink books. Background paper is pink with white polka dots. White ribbon is on left of card and tied in a knot. Two Valentine cards with owls, hearts, and asking “Hoo will be my Valentine?”
Good Evening! Here is another Valentine card. I got a good report from my surgeon today which was reassuring because one knee is further behind than the other and I was worried. So all is well!
Hello! Here is a fun birthday card. The cake was colored with alcohol inks and the background was created with an ink pad rubbed on dull gloss paper. Links to paper and stamps are below!
Good Afternoon! On this card, the background is a pattern paper from a pack I bought a long time ago and don’t remember where it came from. Anyone else have stacks on stacks of paper they have collected over the years? Love digging through them and finding beautiful papers but it also means, I might not be able to get more! The fancy rectangle is stamped on dull gloss and cut out with scissors. Links to stamps are below!
Happy Monday and I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! These two bee cards were so fun to make. I dabbed the honeycomb stamp with a golden ink pad and a yellow ink pad to get the variation. Then I stamped it two more times without re-inking. On the oval, I rubbed the edge of the paper along the ink pad to add color. The bees are colored with a marker.
This card is white cardstock folded at top with a swatch of dull gloss colored with the edge of an ink pad. I just start at the edge and rub the paper across the ink pad in each direction until I feel it has enough color. The stripes on the purple piece of paper is created with HH28 (link below). The flower is colored with alcohol inks. Links to stamps and cutting die are below!
