Owl with Glasses!

Birthday

HB Owl GreyHB Owl YellowHello!  It is a beautiful day here in WI!  The sun is shining and it a cool 50 degrees!  Only suppose to get to 70 degrees today which is perfect!

Here is the card I made for my Dad for his birthday which is coming up in July.  Then I had to make one for the booth.  If you’ll notice I stamped the owl three times in different colors and then cut them out.  I like to cut things out!  I used to love paper piercing so I guess that’s why I like my scissors!

Enjoy your day…hope it’s a good one!

Evan’s 50th Birthday

Birthday

Evan 50thGlasses QuickutzGood Morning!  I have discovered the studio is very HOT! so I need to get out early and work.  It’s a good thing! I have to get out of bed early and get to work.  I can get a lot more accomplished!  So maybe I shouldn’t put air conditioning in???

On Friday I decided I was not going to work!  I have discovered that when I need a card I’m rushing around trying to make cards for occasion.  This year we had four graduations, 2 birthdays, a couple of funerals, and Father’s day etc.  So on Friday I decided I was going to make a bunch of cards that do not go in the booth but go in a file for me to send out!  ( I have to admit I did make one extra of each card for the booth! Hard to stop a workaholic!) The card today is the beginning of those cards.

My friend Evan and I share a birthday and because he is OLDER than me, we had a birthday party for him.  In a former lifetime I was a Certified Ophthalmic Technician so I have always been a fan of glasses so I love this Quickutz die of glasses.  You’ll see it showing up on a lot of cards this week.  Enjoy!

a little note

Hello, Just a Note

a little noteso here it is afternoon and I’m just getting to blogging!  Ugh, it has been one of THOSE days!  Should have stayed in bed maybe! 🙂  Been itching to use some of the new embossing folders we just got in the booth so here they come!  Love this one.  Such a easy fast card.  I have been using the kids old crayons to color my folders.  To make the words frame…I took the F202 Swiss Dot and stamped it in black on a white piece of paper that I had colored.  Punched it out and then took the little oval punch and punched the center out.  Placed it on the card and then stamped the a little note!

Happy Father’s Day

Father's Day

michelle tiesHere’s another card by Michelle for Father’s Day!  Love the colors and distressed look!

I promise I am working on those studio pics!  The current problem is the lights!  I bought some really cool looking awesome lights but they don’t give off enough light so the pics look really dark and it’s sorta hard to work in the dark.  I didn’t want florescent lights ( way too ugly for a cool studio!) so I wasn’t sure what to do.  Yesterday during our travels to find parts for the garage door…I found some track lighting.  Kevin has it half up and ran out of light so we had to post pone that for today!

On Father’s Day

Father's Day

fathers day carSo yesterday was a little complicated for me and I forgot to blog!  We travelled home after being gone for two weeks!  The grass was over grown, the weeds were out of control, the garage door spring broke (hence the cars are stuck in the garage!), the one truck that was out of the garage had a dead battery, the house was really hot (air conditioner not on), etc… it is a little over whelming to have so much to do that you hardly know where to start!  So taking a deep breath and starting with the garage door.  My studio needs air conditioning to work in it so that will be next.

This card was made by one of my designers Michelle.  I love it.  Father’s day is fast approaching!

#1 Father

Father's Day

We have arrived in Syracuse, NY and we have awesome internet!  How did we live before internet?

We will be doing the card for a Make N Take this weekend in Syracuse.  Find information about the show at http://www.toomuchfunpromotions.com

oh, happy day

Hello, Uncategorized

oh happy dayNot so happy day for me…my internet keeps going out and I finally gave up this morning and went shopping!  Why not? 🙂 Love the colors of this card…I think yellow is my new favorite color.  The bottom of the flags were done with a square punch.

We leave here today (thank goodness! with the internet problems, I’m delighted to leave this hotel) and head to Syracuse, NY in the morning.

Perk Up!

Coffee

teal coffee cup insideGood Morning!  We are having a complicated stay here at the Homewood Suites in Windsor Locks, CT!  Our internet has not been working and it creates all kinds problems for us.  My room has no internet and Sarah and Ron’s from the paper cut have sketchy internet  but at least you can get on.  I have to go to their room to get on and at best it’s really slow 🙂  it’s amazing how attached to the internet I am!

We had talked about making a trip to Cape Cod and then to Martha’s Vineyard but we’ve decided we are a little too weary for extra travel so I’m off on a mission to find Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.  I like to paint about as much as I like to rubber stamp!  Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is all the rage on Pintrest but you can only get it at little antique like shops so we are off on a little hunt for the paint!

I love the colors on this coffee card.  It’s berrylicious and blue raspberry with fossil background
