Good Morning!  Happy Halloween!

Well, once again, Kevin was wide awake at 4:30 am this morning!   Not adjusting to this time change thing at all this year.  Our friends live about 40 miles from the show and with traffic being awful in Phoenix…Kevin decided at 5:00 am to get up since he was just laying there and head to where the show is before the traffic got bad.  Still took us about 50 minutes to get to Mesa even though we left at 5:30 am!

So we are now sitting at Cracker Barrel enjoying a nice relaxing breakfast waiting for the text telling us we can set up.  Hopefully we can get set up early and get back to our friends before the evening traffic!

The embossing folder used on this card is probably one of my favorites…it’s very versatile!  I did use a crayon over it to darken the raised areas.  Stamps Used:  FF10 Pumpkins, A24 spider, sm, D198 Happy Halloween, CC67 KB’s pumpkin faces, EE50 KB’s Ghost, JJ14 Journal Block

If you are in the Mesa, AZ area…information regarding the show can be found at http://www.rubberstampevents.com

Have a great weekend!

Halloween Hi

Good Morning!  We did make it to Flagstaff, AZ last night.  We may be getting a little too old for this long travel.  Boy were we tired!  How is sitting in a truck doing nothing all day so tiring?? We’ve been having trouble with the time change (which has never happened before!)

We have only a few hours to go to get into Phoenix this morning so we are having a nice relaxing morning.  Nice to sleep in but of course we were awake at 4:30 am Flagstaff time since that is 6:30 our time.  So while it seems like sleeping in we are really up fairly early!  We are heading to some friends of ours that we knew when we lived here so will be fun to catch up with old friends.  Kevin and I actually met and married in Phoenix!

Another halloween card since we are fast approaching halloween. Stamps Used:  F225 Halloween Hi, C201 KB’s spider, DD65 Halloween Fun Cube.

I was not able to get the new stamps on the internet since I kept losing internet connection along the way so I finally gave up.  Maybe this morning…the internet seems fairly good at this hotel.

Good Morning!  Kevin has us up at the crack of dawn…4:30 am  I think that might even be hours before the crack of dawn!  Since he couldn’t sleep he decided the truck should be moving 🙂  We made it to Clinton, OK last night and hope to make Flagstaff, AZ today.

Halloween is coming so for the next few days that is what our cards will reflect!  Stamps Used:  G297 Halloween Hauntings, DD65 Halloween Fun Cube, DD44 KB’s Ghosts, E189 KB’s Mummy.

It hump day!  We are half way to the weekend!

Good Morning!  I hope you guys don’t get tired of hearing about how much I love the Brother Scanncut because here is another example of why I LOVE it!

I stamped the ghost and then had my brother cut it out.  Next I placed a white layer swatch that was 4.0″x5.25″ on the mat so that the ghost image was right in the center.  I then put the outline distance for the cutting blade to .12 (it was at .04 for the cutting of the ghost) and got this shadow for the ghost to be placed over.  How cool is that…you certainly couldn’t do this with a die!

Stamps Used:  EE50 KB’s Ghost, DD60 Circles & Dots, DD65 Halloween Fun cube, F176 Boo!

So we had a little trouble with our lovely dog this morning…well it really began in the middle of the night.  Our  dog who is actually going to turn 20 soon or already is…anyway she’s very, very OLD!  She was very restless last night so Kevin put her in the garage but he forgot that he didn’t put the paint away and so we now have a mess!

cocoa

yep!  She found the paint!  nice blue paw prints all over the garage 🙂

Good Morning!  We are back on our way home after a terrific show in York, PA!  I learned an awesome tip for the brother machine!  My mats got well used (we demo’d the machine a lot!) and they were not very sticky and a gal told me to use painter’s tape.  So I tried it and it worked great.  JUST to caution you all…she got tape stuck up in her machine and had to take something apart to get it out so that’s a little scary! so be careful!

Here is a sample card with some of our new halloween stamps.  The faces are so adorable.  The ghosts, pumpkins, and both faces come mirror reverse.

Stamps Used:  EE50 KB’s Dancing Ghost, FF39 KB’s Trio Pumpkins, DD65 Halloween Fun Cube, DD60  Circles & Dots, E186 Be careful beware, BB59 KB’s Pumpkin Face Sm, CC67 KB’s Pumpkin Face Lg.

Hope your week is a great one!

So I’ve had some difficulty this week with my computer that is at the house; hence the lack of blog yesterday!  My hard drive is full but Karissa is coming this weekend and she will get me all fixed up!  Nice to have kids that can fix our computer issues 🙂

Today we have a halloween card…back to school always makes me think of halloween since it’s basically the first holiday once school starts.  I used to hand sew halloween costumes for my kids every halloween.  I think I still have a box of them in the basement.  THAT needs to be tossed out or sent to goodwill 🙂

Our projects in the house continue…the crown molding is going up in the living room and looks fantastic.  We’ve started on the mudroom/pantry but I’m having trouble deciding on what colors to paint so we’ve had a little hold up there.  I painted the ceiling a nice sunny yellow but I’m thinking we may have to repaint.  I think it is the cause of my difficulty 😦

Off to work!

Stamps Used:  DD60 Dots& Circles; F225 dropping by Halloween Hi; DD65 Halloween Fun Cube; H119 KB’s Witches Feet

I love this sketch and steno card because I use 12×12 paper to make my cards and so I can cut at 4.25″  then cut at 11″  Score at 5.5″ and then the leftover 1.00×4.25″ goes across the top of card!

Happy Halloween

Halloween

ghost halloweenHere’s an adorable halloween card.  One of the great things about our stamps is the mirror reverse.  The stamps that have mirror reverse are usually a back to back stamp with no indexing.  The ghost stamp for example has a ghost on one side and then when you flip it over there is another ghost but it is looking right instead of left.  The ghost on this card is looking right and has a little heart on the left.  The opposite side would have the ghost looking left and a little heart on the right.  Make sense right?  🙂  The spider web used in this card also has a left and a right side.

This is DD44 KB’s Ghost.

EE34This is KB’s spider web EE34.

The bat’s are also a mirror reverse…

DD62on a up note…my ear is doing better!  Thank goodness!  Have a great halloween.  Where we are at in Phoenix they get tons (upward of 150+) trick or treaters so we have an exciting night ahead of us.

Another day…

Halloween

photo 1-1it’s another halloween card today.  It’s been a complicated day beginning with no milk for breakfast, no cream for the coffee, and no groceries in the house!  But I do have my laundry all caught up, groceries in the house, suitcases put away, all the orders have gone out, the bills have all been paid,  and I have a good start on getting stamps done for the next show which is in two weeks. Not bad for a Tuesday 🙂

I have been working on a quilt for my niece and I have three rows left on it so it’s in my plans to have that done before I leave for the Mesa, AZ show.  I got it all cut out and basted together this evening so now I just need to get sewing…so I think I’ll do that!  Have a good evening.

Halloween 2

Halloween

halloween2We made it to Cleveland, OH last night.  Our hotel room has no heat so it’s a little chilly!  Not sure what’s wrong with the heat but it’s a good thing there were two beds in our room since we stole all the covers from the other bed!

Here’s another halloween card to get you in the mood for halloween.  Still haven’t gotten the new stamps on the website yet but we should have good internet most of the way today.  Almost to the weekend!

Here’s what the halloween fun cube looks like:

Halloween

halloweenIt’s certainly October here in WI.  We have been having beautiful fall weather.

Here’s a simple Halloween card…the bats in the background is one of our new stamps.  I’m hoping to get them on our website today along with the Halloween Fun Cube.  The ghost DD44 and Boo B259 should already be on the website.

Off and running to York PA for the Heirloom Paper and Rubber Stamp Festival.  Running a little late already 😦 so better go moving!

Coffee Boo!

Halloween

coffee booI got my box of 4 oz coffee cups and lids!  These are tiny plain coffee cups that you can decorate into a treat cup…how cute are they!??  I wish that I would have had some yarn in fun colors other than black and white but we are headed into town soon to go truck shopping (ugh, not so fun) but they have stores down there and soon I will be the proud owner of orange, purple, green and whatever other 🙂 color yarn!

I finally got my orders done (whew, they took what felt like forever!) so I could work on making some cute cups.  I want to make more but they will have to wait.

I also did a project with some spray paint since I was going into withdrawals.  This was a silver paper towel rack and I decided to make it into a cookie cutter holder and of course orange is my new favorite color.

cookie cuttersthe picture does not do it justice!  I did update my IPhone to IOS 7 and it’s awesome.  so for those of who are chicken…I really like it!  I still want an IPhone 5s but we will have to wait a little on that 🙂
