Snow Fun!

Christmas Cards

snow fun

Well, my brother put on Facebook yesterday that there was snow in MN!  Glad we are still in warm weather.  We have arrived in Carson, CA for the Carson show.  We will get set up tomorrow and then the show begins on Saturday.  Hot and Dry is the forecast for the weekend which is good since our booth will be in the atrium this year.

Christmas is coming and so we have a few Christmas cards coming your way.  Stamps used:  E261 X-mas Snow Fun, E259 KB’s Penguin, EE51 KB’s Santa Hat, & BB22 Snowflake Fun Cube

family 2Another day in the shop!  We just have too much to do to take the day off!  We are going to try and finish up by noon.  We’ll see how that goes.  I’m not complaining!  It is much better to have too much work than not enough.  So we will just be thankful for today 🙂

KB’s Manger stamp has been one of my favorites and it continues to be.  Such a simple card with lots of meaning.   I like that the embossing folder says family and then the words on the inside of the card refer to family.  Stamps Used:  C181 KB’s Manger Sm, C182 Seasons Greetings, D274 Adore him, E205 KB’s Manger Lg, F199 Family @ Christmas.

Have an awesome weekend!  I will paint this weekend so any day painting is awesome!

Oh and by the way my Colorado friends…your stamp has been sent to the engravers and we should have it next week!  Along with AZ and CA for the upcoming shows.

a quick and easy Christmas card tonight.  I used prima color pencils on this card but I think I’m going to try using watercolor pencils in the morning and see if I like that too!  We had a busy day today but got our wholesale orders all done and packaged.  If you special ordered a stamp at York…they all went out on Tuesday.  If you ordered a Brother Scanncut…they all shipped on Tuesday…so they should all arrived by Friday 🙂

I’m hoping to take Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off! Well, maybe not off but work on projects around the house!  Itching to do some painting 🙂

Stamps Used:  G214 Happy Holidays Lg Tina, B286 KB’s Wreath Sm, AA15 Mini Dual Dots.

It’s hump day! Half way through the week 🙂

xmas owl

Good Morning!  So nice to sleep in my own bed last night 🙂  We drove till about midnight Sunday night, got up really early to get all my orders placed.  Left the hotel at 5 am Central time/ 6 am Eastern time and got home around 7 pm Central time/ 8 pm Eastern time.

We sold a record number of brother machines this weekend!  I’m pretty sure it was because of my awesome help in the make n take booth…Keith and Joyce have helped us for several years now at the PA shows.  Awesome help!  Of course I managed to sell a machine to them too! 🙂

A sweet little christmas owl from our new stamps!  Love his ears!  Stamps Used:  FF40 KB’s Christmas Owl, DD63 dots & circle, DD76 Naughty & Nice Fun Cube.

LOTS to do today so better get moving!

since I missed blogging on Wednesday…I thought I would go ahead and add a Saturday blog to finish out the five cards.
We have been using water color pencils to mark the paper and then our aqua pens to blend the background.  I just stamped with black over it (after it dries!) for this simple Christmas card.

Christmas Cards, Coffee

Santa Cup

It’s a Santa Coffee Cup!  I’ve been working on a make n take project for the Strongsville, OH show this weekend.  It’s a little complicated because you have 10 people doing the project and only 15 minutes!  That is not very much time.  So I decided to do a coffee cup project and sent over the picture of the honeycomb with the bees stamped on the cup (there is a picture of that project on the blog earlier this year!)   BUT I got to thinking (I really need to stop thinking! ) that it is halloween and Christmas time so I should have cups to go along with the season.  I came up with this little Santa cup but it takes way more than 15 minutes to complete so although it is very cute…not for this weekend.

You all know how much I love my brother scan n cut and here is another fine example of why.  I have a flourish punch (like the one on Santa’s belt) but it was way too  big for the coffee cup.  I got to thinking about the pre loaded shapes in the brother and sure enough I found the flourish shape….resized it…and we were good to go!  Love it.

You also know how much I love the little tiny dot stamps that most people think are useless (unless you have one than you know how useful they are!) they have been used for Santa’s cheek and his tongue!  Way Cool!

Well, I have got to get to work.  Lots of orders to go out AND  we have some new stamps coming!  If you noticed the “naughty or nice?” saying??!  It’s on a new fun cube…We should have the new stamps this weekend and hopefully I will get them on the website next week during our time between the two shows while sitting in the hotel!  I also will show you on Thursday and Friday the two coffee cups for the Strongsville, OH make n take Friday night session.

Here is the new naughty or nice fun cube…

Oh, I am SO happy that it is Friday!  We have been working 10-12 hours a day trying to get the stamps all made so that we can have a little time to do some things around the house.  Instead of painting yesterday…we made stamps till 11 pm!  Almost done but I said that this morning and here it is 4 pm and I’m still working 🙂

We hope to take the weekend off and just enjoy being and home!  AND doing some painting! Have a great weekend.

be merry

it’s a quick and simple Christmas card this morning!

Stamps Used:  C215 be merry, G145 Dotted Christmas Tree, AA15 Dual Dots Mini

I often get questioned about our little dual dots stamps.  I actually use them often…but then I’m a polka dot kind of girl.  They are just two tiny dots on each side of the stamps.  I use them on the center of flowers, as a background, and as in this card on the ornaments.

AA15

just teeny tiny dots!  Love them!

Our weather forecast for WI starting at 1 pm today is as follows…

weatherso what does a girl do in this kind of weather??  She gets all her work done and then PAINTS!  Yep, I’m having withdrawal symptoms from no painting.  I have some cabinets that are going in the new pantry that need painting.  I’m a happy girl!

Good Tuesday to You!  Here is my sketch inspiration for today.  Feeling quite rested from the long weekend and ready to tackle the new week.  I had one day (Sunday) of my house being in order and we are back to chaos!  We completely emptied the mudroom yesterday and today we will begin the build out in there.  But first there are orders to send out and stamps to be made!

Friday is here!  It’s a long weekend too.  I thought we were having company this weekend but it’s next weekend!  Good thing Karissa got me all straightened out.  So the food will all go in the freezer and we will take it out next weekend.  It is probably a good thing since we can continue with our project.  We have about two inches left on one side of the room with the floor project.  We were too tired last night to think and measure the last bit so left if for this morning.  Next we start with the Mudroom which is being changed into a more functional pantry/mudroom combination.  After hundreds of hours on Pinterest and Houzz, I’ve got the design done, the measurements and lumber requirements all figured out so  now we just need to get all the stuff and start building.  It’s that simple! Right! 🙂

Todays card is a quick and easy Christmas Card.  Simple but fun colors.  Enjoy your weekend – it’s looks like ours is going to be a rainy one.  Good thing we have an inside project!
