I should be stamping with snow and snowmen because we are drowning in snow! Kevin is actually getting a bit tired of snow plowing 🤪 Hard to believe but yesterday after spending another night snow plowing and digging his stuck van out of the snow he was a bit fed up.
A friend of our recently had a heart attack so I wanted to make a card for him. I made these three and then let Kevin choose which one to send. Which do you think he chose??
I love Saturdays! It’s like a free fun day. I’ve been wanting to send a couple of friends cards just to say hello and what better way then with a fox! ?
We’ve got a nice sunny day today. Lots of snow removal going on. One of Kevin’s favorite things to do! Really it is! Loves it! For a boy raised in Arizona – it’s a little strange 😜
I’ve been working on some Birthday cards. I like to try and do a couple of cards with the same layout so I have a couple of samples. I also have been wanting to do some more snowman cards since we have so much snow!
Fresh snow this week so sharing a snowman card! White paper is dull glossy and snowman is colored with alcohol ink markers. The snowflake was stamped three times before re-inking to get the faded look. Links are below!
Happy Wednesday! Love cards can be sent on any day, not just Valentine’s. This dry embossing folder is by Cuttlebug and I believe it has been discontinued but might still be found on Ebay.. or another heart folder would work too. For circles, I always stamp first and then cut! It is easier to line up the punch or cutting die than the stamp but do what works best for you. The coffee beans and cup were colored with alcohol ink markers. Some other options I want to try for this card is a brown swatch behind the white strip and the stitched hearts on top of the solid. Links are below!
It’s time for a big snow storm! The snow started around 4 pm so it’s a perfect night for Stamping. My daughter left some bunnies on my desk all colored so I decided to make them into baby cards. One blue and one pink!
I have this jar of scraps that when I start with an 81/2×12 piece of paper and cut them down to swatches of either 4×51/4 or 37/5×5 I ended up with these perfectly sized pieces of paper that I used to layer on my background. I would have liked a gray to match my bunny but couldn’t find any so I went with what I had for the card. The blue background was a stencil my son found cleaning out a cupboard and he put it on my desk (hadn’t gotten around to putting it away yet!) so I used it for that background.
Happy Monday! I love using textured paper for a background. On all of these cards, the background is 4×5-1/4″. The white paper (dull glossy) is 4×2-5/8″ with the color swatch sized 4-1/4×2-7/8″. I used 3D foam squares to pop up the smaller swatches with one foam square in each corner and one in the middle. The roses were colored with alcohol ink markers. Links are below!
Happy Saturday and wishing you a song in your heart! The background paper on this card is white felt and I used glue to assemble all the pieces except the aloe plant in a pot. For the aloe plant, a 3D foam square was used to pop it up (tip below!) and it was colored with alcohol ink markers. The white swatch with the words and squares is dull glossy paper.
Good afternoon! Sharing several bunny cards today. We are loving this heart embossing folder and will be adding some swatches to the website once back in the shop. Keep checking if interested! Let us know in the comments if we need to work faster on making it available 😉. The circle with words on it is 2” and I used a punch but a cutting die works too. Links to stamps and cutting dies are below!
A triple flag card with gray and white, such a pretty color combo! I love it for wedding and anniversary cards. For the hearts and flag outlines, I used the Encore! Ultimate Metallic ink pad in champagne. Links are below!
Pearl dots – I couldn’t find the packaging these were in and can’t remember where they came from but here is a link to some that would be similar if not the same – Click Here
