Color my World

Friendship

color my worldWhew, it’s been a long weekend!  We have been painting cabinets and painting cabinets until I’m blue in the face!  It’s been cold and raining so quite a challenge to paint in this weather.  The cabinets are done…the counter tops are in….getting close to a picture Ronda!  The studio is coming together.  Of course we are also getting ready for the Puyallup,  WA show so needless to say I’m a little tired and worn out!  I’ll have three days to relax in the truck while Kevin does the driving.  Enjoy this colorful card!

Father's Day
Front Tie Card

Front Tie Card

Here is a really quick Father’s day card. This card can be made in under 15 minutes which doesn’t seem like long at all when some cards take an hour or longer. This is great for when you wait till the last minute to get a card made. But as Sonya says, “If you wait till the last minute, it only takes a minute.” 3D dots were used to add another dimension. Copic markers were used to color in the tie.  A signature/initials can be added by the little tie on the back of the card. Or a handmade by would be really cute.

The weather is supposed to be perfect here in MN this evening so we are having a little gathering tonight to get some shish kabobs on the charcoal grill. Really excited! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and we will be back on Monday with another card! Also, huge thank you to all who respond to the little survey! It is greatly appreciated and we will hopefully have something coming soon in the form of a catalog.

Stamps used: G331 KB’s Heart Tie, C227 KB’s Heart Tie Sm (on back of card near bottom)

Congratulations Graduate!

Graduation

congrats graduateSo  Graduation is coming up!  We just got an invite for a young neighbor girl.  So hard to believe she is that old already! This card has two punches on it..the small scallop and then the holes are actually a punch too.  One of my favorites.

Painting continues in the studio!  Painted six cabinets yesterday!  Stiff and Sore today!  Rain coming this afternoon so I need to get to work!  Enjoy your day!

scallop flipHere’s another new flip card from The Paper Cut, Inc!  This is the scallop card.

We made a quick trip to Minnesota to see Karissa!  Kevin was driving back from AZ with his Dad’s pickup so he picked me up in MN and we left Travis with his Grandparents for a few days.  Glad to be back home again.  Picked up some counter tops for the studio at IKEA, need to get my painting done so I can get the studio finished!  Need to make stamps for the Puyullup show…need to get my class ready…gasp!  there is alway so much to do! 🙂 Keeps me out of trouble 🙂

Oh, Baby! Giraffe card

Baby Cards

Image

Finally a few baby girls have been born. Sadly one is way down in Texas so I probably won’t see her for awhile and the other is here in MN. So excited! It means I can finally pull out my pink paper. After making the last 3 baby cards blue, it is a good change. I like to use purple and teal if I don’t know whether it is a girl or a boy though and that breaks up the traditional pink and blue, like the elephant card from last Friday. The tag in this card is a punch by EK Success that I ran a copic marker along the edge to add some pink and embellished it with a little heart brad (I love these brads!).

You take the Cupcake!

Friendship

cupcake flipIt’s a beautiful sunny day today!  Taking a break from all my painting to hit the local thrift stores with my sister Sonya and friend Holly!  Picking up donuts on the way!  Looking for the old fashion rolodex for Karissa to put Cling mounted stamps in…wish me luck!  Saw it on Pintrest, thought it was a great idea.  With Kevin gone, Travis and I are heading to MN to see Karissa and do a little IKEA shopping!

Another cupcake card this morning! I do love that cupcake! Also this is a topnote flip card by The Paper Cut!

Friends Sweeter

Friendship

friends circle cardIt is a beautiful morning here in Green Bay, WI 55 degrees and sunny.  Just a nice crisp morning.

Kevin made it to Yuma, AZ last night while Travis and I are busy getting ready for the next show which is in Puyullup,  WA.  I started to paint some of my cabinets for the studio.  I have a bunch of mismatched things that I figure if I paint all the same it will make it not look so mismatched !  I’ve decided painting is a lot of work!  Hopefully it will look nice when done 🙂

Here’s another simple Friends card….
