Using up leftovers!

Hello

l7

Good Morning!  Barbaralee you will like this card using up the leftover flowers from yesterdays card.  I too find that the swiss dot embossing folder is probably one of my favorites.  It’s an oldie but goodie.  We continue to carry it in the booth even though it is very old.  There are some things you just can not get rid of.  This card again is one of the 40 birthday cards so it is a small 3.5″x5.0″ card.  They fit inside a  Bar 4 envelope.

We have been up since the crack of dawn!  We are two hours behind our time so it gets a little confusing to the body but it usually doesn’t take too long to adjust.

We will be at the Puyallup, WA fairgrounds this weekend more information is available at http://www.heirloompro.com   Have a great weekend.  The forecast for Seattle is RAIN!  Imagine that?!  so perfect for getting to a stamp show.

Arriving Safe and Sound!

Hello, Just a Note

l6

We have arrived safe and sound in Puget Sound!  It was a long tedious drive 🙂  We have been listening to the Game of Thrones book and sometimes it’s just a little hard to stomach but it sure helps the time go by.  I have had enough of knitting, of sitting, and of McDonald’s:)  It took us 34 hours of driving time.

Here is another cute little 3.5″x5.0″ card from the 40th Birthday.  Clean and simple with punches.

Many of you may not know but we used to live out here in the Puget Sound area.  Our son Travis was actually born here in Renton, WA so we have lots of friends out here.  We already have a supper date for tonight.  So excited to see our friends and happy to be out of the truck!

Off and Running!

Good Morning!  It’s bright and early here in WI as we pack to get moving and head to Seattle, WA and Portland, OR area.  We usually stay in MN with my brother but it makes the last day of travel difficult so we are heading all the way to Bismark, ND today.  We have 3 full days of travel.  We have a new series of books downloaded from audible so we should be occupied.  Have my knitting bag so looking forward to a few days of knitting.

Karissa has been working on some cards and so I’m stealing them for the blog!  Love this sweet simple card.  She found some lace tape…yes it is actually tape…I would love to be able to sell it but haven’t been able to find it…but it is cool.  I still looking for it….

Have a great Tuesday…

Hello, Thank You Cards

look up

Good Morning!  It is an awesome day here in WI!  Sunshine Abounding!  We are actually headed to town–you know when we go to town- we do everything while there since we don’t go real often.  The big truck needs an oil change and tire rotation before we head to the great state of WA!  The little Ford dealer in town can’t do the big truck so we need to go down into Green Bay.  The joys of living in a small town 🙂  so sad we have to go to town and the big Ford dealer is next to my favorite TJ Maxx store! 🙂

Love this new little bird looking up!  Such a great reminder to look rather than look around at others!  The first card has the bigger bird F230 KB’s Emily Bird named after one of Karissa’s best friend, Emily!  and the smaller one is the brand new one just out in May (not even on website yet! I know…always behind!) D286.  Love it!

I am working on an project…imagine that :)…a friend of ours is having a 40th birthday.  She doesn’t want any party or recognition but we feel 40 is just too good to pass up the opportunity to do something fun for her so we are all sending her 40 of something.  I’m sending her 40 handmade cards!  I know a little crazy of me but I did 20 of them last night in two hours so I’m up for the challenge.  Plus the up side is I have a lot of cards done for the blog!  They are all 3.5″x5.0″ cards so very simple and fun. If you like Instagram (I really don’t even know what it is but it’s an app on my phone!) I’ve already started uploading them there and will get them to the blog soon.  I thought it would be hard to come up with that many ideas but our stamps are so versatile they even work for little cards.  It’s amazing what you can do with ink, paper, and stamps!  Have a great day.

Hello, Just a Note

kite

So I decided I better blog this morning before I start my day since my day is full!  With only 3 1/2 days to prepare for another show it makes things a little complicated.   Kevin and I do everything ourselves!

Love this bright and cheery card.  I had to add the little  hearts because I got ink from my hands all over my card 😦  I also like the skinny chevron with the wider chevron!

Stamps Used:  JJ17 Skinny Chevron Border; D229 Swiss Dot 1.5″; F244 KB’s Kite; B271 Oh happy day; A190 Mini Heart; HH31 Chevron Border

so I found another triple die!  It so needs to be cut though!  Love it!

We are still working on the laundry room…my husband can do anything but he usually does it really slow!  On the flip side, it is usually done right.  So yesterday we had to go to town and  get  some end pieces for the transition from the laundry room to the hallway.  Since it is a little hike to town (a tank there and a tank back- that’s $8) we decided the tiling looks so good that we would do the mudroom since we already have a big mess.  While there I got this idea to tile the counter in the laundry room.  We had everything updated but the counter and the closet.  So Kevin said “if we are going to do it – let’s do it!” So we came away with everything to tile the counter and ideas for the closet.  This laundry re-do is never going to be done 🙂

commute

Yes! this was my commute to work this morning!  UGH!

Slight delay to the morning…

boys

my nephew spend the night last night and he told me the best thing about spending the night was someone cooking breakfast for him!  What?  Breakfast?  Too much to do to make breakfast!?   Ahh but they are only little once!  And he is not so little since he is much taller than me!  So it was Breakfast for the Boys!

Finally to work 🙂

I feel a Make N Take coming with this Sketch!  Loving it.  Need to get in the shop and make stamps 🙂 So I’m off and running….

We had a busy weekend getting some things done.  Paint just makes things look better so…I painted some things 🙂  We have some ugly stairs going up to the studio so we painted them on Friday!  They look so much better!  We can’t finish the wall until the air conditioner/heater gets put in.

Friendship, Get Well Soon, Hello, Just a Note, Thinking of You

rosyWell,  the day has certainly gone fast today but I guess the whole month has gone fast since we are staring March in the face!  I hope this cold and snow goes away soon.  Snow is fine.   Cold is not fine.  We loaded the trailer today and it was – 9 degrees.  That’s cold.  Indianapolis will be significantly warmer at 30 degrees this weekend.  Looking forward to that 🙂 We begin travel in the am…onward rejoicing we go!

hope everything is rosy!

Just for You

Hello, Just a Note

just for you

It’s a long john kind of day here in WI today!  Chilly One!

I love this printed paper!  Stripes!  Polka Dots! You can never go wrong with stripes and polka dots. Just a simple clean card!  Stamps Used:  G165 KB’s Silphnium in a Jar Lg, GG19 Giga/Mega Stitch Stamp, C238 Just for You.  This card is so ME!

We appreciate the condolences that have been sent.  Went to the PO Box yesterday and came home with a pile of handmade sympathy cards!  I’ll share one tomorrow.

Hello

Hello, Uncategorized

helloI love this pattern paper! The other side is pretty cool too!  Hopefully I’ll have some cards with it on tomorrow. We are frantically making stamps and since we have two shows without coming home we have a lot of stamps to make!  Hoped to be done today and trailer packed but didn’t happen 😦

Here’s the next phase of stamp making…we have to cook everything!  And that is only half done, much more to do! Now you see why stamps cost what they do when you consider all the steps to it 🙂
