Birthday

belated birthdayThis little tiny lily of the valley was a big seller in both Rockford and Allentown…here I made it into a little border…so simple.  We have had multiple requests for belated birthday stamps so here is a new one:  along with an inside saying.  Those who know me, know that the inside font needs to match the outside font 🙂

belated great oneI’m still behind 😦 but getting caught up.  I hope to get to all the emails, odd orders, and requests today!  Then we are going to take Friday, Saturday, and Sunday OFF!  After working 25 days in a row we are in need of a little down time.  Karissa will blog Friday – she has some great cards with the fan flower.  See you on Monday!

On a side note…I sent all the special orders out from Allentown using stamps.com.  It is an online postage service.  If anyone gets a postage due on their end…please let me know.  My email address is beth@shopec.com.

Birthday, Gift Card Holders

flowers 1Good Morning!  it’s cold here! -9 this am It’s so cold here that nobody is buying tickets to the Green Bay Packers Game on Sunday so they may have a local television black out!  How crazy is that?  In all the years of living here, we’ve never heard of a local black out.  Green Bay Packer Fans are usually die hards but the forecast will be really cold!

so I’m trying to be organized and get a head start on things…our son, Travis, has a birthday on Jan 15th so I’ve already made a money holder for him so that I won’t forget his birthday.  Since his birthday always comes at this crazy time of year, I’ve been known to forget 😦

travis 2I was greeted this morning with this little cluster of flowers!  I decided to try and save my summer flowers over the winter to see if I could keep them living.  They look kind of dead but then came some new little green flowers, and then some buds, and now flowers!  so awesome!

Have a great weekend!  Go Pack Go!

Stamps Used:  HH20 lots of dots, E210 Birthday Wishes, F194 2″ swiss dot B252 KB’s Three Candles.

I’m not going to see the new year in…too old for that and too much work to do to get ready for the Grapevine,  TX show.

Birthday, Creatures, Frogs & Bugs

kb bee 1kb bee 3here are a couple of cards Karissa made when she was home for Christmas.  She had to go back on Christmas day so she only got to  spend Tuesday and Wednesday at home.  I wanted to do a lot of work on Tuesday but she convinced me to go shopping instead!  But we had a great day together and I can work any old day! 🙂

Christmas day was busy with the usual turkey, ham, potatoes, stuffing etc.. but on Thursday we made porgies.  It is a family dish that has been handed down for generation to generation.  I made them myself this time with a little help from my Dad and Brad.

progies 1

here they all are drying the dough.  We made about 95 of them.  We only had 35 left over!  I was hoping to freeze some for later but we sure did enjoy them.  My brother Brad and my sister Sonya and I had not had them for several years.  We really enjoyed them.  They were worth cooking all day for.  Kevin did the dishes tonight so that us kids cook play Rook together.  It was a good day!

Fishing

Birthday

fishingGood Evening!  After a relaxing Labor Day I was looking at some of my friends on facebook who were posting fishing pictures and I thought of this card!  Karissa made it for her Dad for his birthday.

Stamps Used:  CC27 Dots & Circles 7/8″; B243 KB’s Fishing Pole; B117 Happy Birthday

So we have been busy making stamps since we added the Colorado show.  We are also enjoying having my sister in law stay with us.  She will be here for about a week and a half…she’s been helping filing and doing all sorts of things!

We have some new stamps coming…a Halloween Fun Cube and a Coffee Fun cube…a new Cappuccino cup…tiny one for the Triple Circle Z Fold Cards… and an old snowman in a new size.  We should have for the Colorado show.

I’m so excited about an ebay find!  I was at TJ Maxx the other day and found some Keen orange shoes that were adorable but of course not my size.  So I started searching ebay….did you know that there are one thousand six hundred and seventy -two  women’s Keen shoes in size 7 for sale on ebay?? seriously..  So after searching some 700+ and bidding on four pair of shoes…I finally found the shoes I was looking for!

orange shoes

They came in the mail today!  so adorable…they look even cuter in real life.  Yes, they are ORANGE!  I have no idea when or with what I can wear these but my new favorite color is orange. And luckily I lost all the other bids on the shoes so I didn’t end up with five new pairs of shoes! 🙂

See you tomorrow!

birthday2Whew, the day went so fast today!  Wednesday is always cleaning day.  Since we’ve done just spot cleaning the last few weeks it seemed like it took longer to clean today.  But the house is clean!  I then had an eye doctor appointment…my near vision has been getting steadily worse!  Last weekend I priced things at $15.99 instead of $16.99 because the 5’s and 6’s look alike!  Lucky Kevin caught it as the customers were checking out and changed the price.  But that was the last straw so getting an update to my glasses!

This birthday card is for my mother-in-law who has a birthday on Thursday!  Love those triple circle Z fold cards.  And yes, I did get them on our website so they are available for order.

We got some good news today!  Scrapbook Expo called and had a cancelation for Denver, CO show in September so they added us in!  That will be exciting to go to Denver…it’s been awhile since we’ve been there!

Well better get some more laundry done 🙂  It’s hump day we are almost through the week!

Friday Challenge: White Card stock

wood you

Happy Friday everyone! This morning I decided to challenge myself with white card stock. Do you find white card stock challenging? One thing I like about the white card is the clean, fresh look of it. It also saves time from having to layer colors and eliminates the need for tape/adhesive (I have run out of adhesive except for my 3-D dots). Please forgive my chevron border, I accidentally dropped it. Oops, I hate it when that happens.

Stamps used: EE36 KB’s Fox, CC57 KB’s Party Hat, HH31 Chevron Border, F224 KB’s Kite, E251 Wood Birthday, A190 Tiny Solid Heart, DD52 KB’s Clara Owl , DD60 1.25 Circle & Dots

Copic Markers used: R29, E47, E29, YR07, E33

Have a wonderful weekend!

EK Success Punch

DD55

Good morning everyone, this Friday looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. Here is another card with KB’s Bookish Owl. I have always struggled with this EK punch in the past but with the DD55 Fun Cube, the words fit so well in the middle punch which allows layering with the large punch and is such a cute addition.

Stamps used: GG33 2.5″ Circles & Dots, DD55 Owl Fun Cube, E256 KB’s Bookish Owl, C233 Happy Birthday Caps

Have a wonderful weekend! We are in Novi, MI this weekend so if you are in the area, we hope to see you at the stamp festival! Click on the link below for more information.

Bookish Owl

Birthday

another year wiserI love this new owl from Karissa!  We call him the “bookish owl”.  I’ve used him for a “sending love” card, for a graduation card, for a birthday card.  So useful!

DD55So these are the four stamps on the Owl Fun Cube.  I’m currently working on a coffee fun cube!

Copics Used: E33, E25, E47, R24, R29, B93, & B95

Have a great Thursday…Friday is almost here 🙂

HB Vellum

Birthday

hb vellumHere is the last of the vellum cards!  Maybe vellum will make another come back.  I have been using the Glue Glider Pro with Perma Tac glue runner and it doesn’t seem to show at all!  I think not being able to find an adhesive that didn’t show was why most people didn’t use vellum…so maybe with the improvements in adhesive, vellum will come back.  We can always hope.
