chill of winter

I really do love winter!  Especially when it is at least 25 degrees outside…I like that much better than below freezing 🙂  I love this winter card with the little red cardinal.

Stamps Used:  A240 KB’s Arrow Snowflake, BB57 KB’s Cardinal sm, D259 Chill of Winter, EE42 KB’s Heart Button Snowman, med.  The snowflake is a pattern from the Brother Scan N Cut !

We are home was again!  The truck drove into the driveway at 2:02 this am.  I’m up and at it already but Kevin is sleeping since he drove all the way home.  He’s a night owl and I’m a morning person so it works out good.

Everything starts all over again with Novi, MI show this weekend.  For those interested information is at http://www.heirloompro.com.

A Very Happy Birthday to our daughter Karissa today!  We couldn’t ask for a better daughter!

Summer has Arrived!

Birthday

I believe summer has finally arrived here is WI!  We finally have gotten some heat and today the forecast is for more heat.  The kids have been keeping the pool busy!  It was quite hot yesterday in the vulcanizing room so I expect it will be warm today too 🙂 not complaining …we’ve been waiting for some warm weather!

snail mail2

Our snails have been very popular and how cute is this for sending cards in the mail.  I still love to get cards snail mail way.  It’s off to work!  Have a good Tuesday!

Off to Minneapolis!

Frogs & Bugs, Hello, smile

bees 2bees 1

I managed to get another MNT (make n take!) ready for the Bloomington, MN show!  So excited about our new cards…the old ones were getting boring.  Love these Flag Cards from The Paper Cut, Inc.  We hope to get them on our website soon.

I went on a shopping mission to get these blue owls that my sister got as a wedding present…

sonya blue owls

they are the EXACT blue that my planters in the front of the house are…but no success!  But I did manage to find these blue owls…

blue owl

not  quite as cute but still adorable!  He looks like he’s scowling 🙂 The price was right $24.99 with 70% off plus an additional 25% off.  I think times are tough!  Have a great weekend!

Another MNT!

so it was quite a successful shopping trip!  Got this vinyl chalkboard for by my cutting table for $1.79!  All those little yellow sticky notes will be transfer to it.  They have typical measurements on them.

What does a girl do with all those left over 1″ red stripes of paper from another project!??

Here’s to another MNT Project!  Hopefully I will have it done for this weekend.  We are leaving at 5:00 am in the morning.  The dog has already been taken to the kennel, the suitcases are all packed, and the showers will be done before we go to bed so we are ready to roll!

Bugger of a Day!

ladybugs

ladybugs2

ok so do you ever have one of those days???  Gasp, I should maybe just go back to bed!  My day didn’t start out to bad except that I slept in a little later than I wanted too so I was a bit annoyed with myself.  But I do love this ladybug card that has one of our new stamps that was designed to go with The Paper Cut, Inc Flag Paper! The flags cut beautifully on the brother machine.  Which, by the way, we put Bill Me Later with Paypal on our website so you can make payments on the machine!

Wednesday is usually cleaning day but I’ve adopted a new cleaning habit that I really like.  I found the idea on Pinterest.  Pinterest has changed a lot of things in my life!  I now clean a little bit every day and really the house stays pretty clean all week…so today was clean the wood floors and vacuum/dust the living room and dining room.  I usually clean the hard wood floors with tea bags seeped in water.  I was going to do the floors the other day so I boiled the tea bags in water and then tried to save it for today.  Not a good idea.  My water was moldy so I started that all over again and proceeded with no problems 🙂

I usually cook on Wednesdays for the whole family so I decided to start a little early and made the corn casserole and grape salad and all that went fine. Although with all the delays I didn’t get to the shop until 9:15 am and that is where it started going down hill 🙂

I wanted to make circle cards with my brother machine and after many failed attempts (it can be done…I just need to do it on another day!) this is what I ended up with.

mat

and yes that is a big hole in my mat!  So I’m going shopping!

Florida Bound!

Friendship

IMG_4256-friends

so we are off in the truck this morning headed for Orlando, FL!  Yesterday I had planned to spent time in my studio stamping when I suddenly realized the grass needed mowing so there went my time in the studio.  Then Kevin needed my help with the pool.  Our pool liner got a rip in it so that means the whole thing comes out and a new one put in.  He spent the last two days on the pool.  All is well now, the liner is in and the pool is filling up with water.

I thought I would share how I’m storing my mats for my brother machine.  Kevin put up some pegboard in the studio and I thought I would punch a hole in the mat but Kevin didn’t think that was a good idea so I  had some pant hangers hanging around and they  work beautifully!

Another 3.5″x5.0″ Card

Birthday

tie

My 3.5″x5.0 cards continue!  40 is a lot of cards.  For those of you just joining the blog…a friend of my had a 40th birthday and we were all asked to send her 40 of “something” small.  I sent 40 3.5″x5.0 handmade cards which we have been showing on the blog over the past month or so.  Interestingly the 40 cards took me about 4 hours to complete.  I cut and scored all the card stock which can be time consuming.  I also made some of them with the triple circle dies that I cut.

Maybe you noticed I forgot to blog yesterday!  That happens sometimes 🙂 Finally got my house clean yesterday, spent 5 hours in the shop, made supper for the crew (my sister and her family live near by and we eat together on Wednesday nights!), went to town and changed the oil in the truck and rotated tires (ok so I just sat and read a book while someone else did all that!), purchased flowers to plant and bricks to edge a flower patch, got stain to stain the new door to the laundry room, went to bible study in the evening, and then to DQ with some friends!  So all that leads to a big day today…a door to stain, that paint project from the other day still needs to be done, have to take truck to town to get the camper shell put on, need to put my 5 hours in the shop in, plant flowers and build the flower bed…:) too busy to get in trouble! Hope your week is going good

Fun Adventure!

#4

Good Afternoon!  How you bean?  so simple and cute.  Love these 3.5″x5.0″ cards.

Kevin and I had quite an adventure today!  Sometimes we do some crazy things…like driving in downtown Portland with the big truck and trailer!  Look at this awesome scenery we have seen!

tunnel #1

such a fun tunnel!

tunnel2

this road then dropped us right into downtown Portland!

we enjoyed our drive into Portland!  Spent several hours at Ikea (and several $’s!) and now we are relaxing at the hotel near the Expo Center.  Hope your day was good too!

Busy Wednesday!

Friendship, Frogs & Bugs, Hello, Thinking of You

Here is another 3.5″x5.0″ Triple Circle Card from my 40 birthday cards…so sweet…

We have had a busy morning today.  We are staying with Kevin’s sister here in Portland who has 3 children…which makes any day busy :)… but this morning we babysat the youngest who has afternoon kindergarten… as people with very old children…you sorta forget how busy their “chatter” makes things!   We went to Lowe’s to get some bricks because Kevin is building some sort of patio for his sisters dog kennel!  I haven’t ventured out to see what he’s building but he enjoys doing that sort of thing.

I have gotten my Brother Scan and Cut machine out this afternoon so I plan to play with it and see what else I can learn to do with it!  Have a great “HUMP” day!

Thank You Cards

l9

so I was telling you about my 40 cards that I made for a friends 40th birthday.  Here is the beginning of them.  All of the cards are 3.5″x5.0″ to fit in a Bar 4 Envelope…including this little circle card. So fun to make it out of printed paper!

We made it all the way to Missoula, MT tonight.  We drove 13 hours yesterday and 13 hours today with another 8 to go tomorrow.  Ugh.  Tired of the truck!  Will be happy to be in Puyallup, WA!
