Good Afternoon!  I hope this finds you healthy and happy!

We had a great weekend.  And yes, I did get to paint!  My cabinets are all painted and the lower half are installed in the mudroom with the upper cabinets waiting to go in this afternoon.  It’s looking good!  I should have some pictures tomorrow.

The card today has some brand new stamps on it.  Hot off the press this afternoon.  Needed a thank you card and these triple circles make it so easy and quick.

Stamps Used:  D211 Happy day, *GG35 KB’s Primrose, Lg, DD46 So grateful Fun Cube, *AA31 KB’s butterfly mini, *BB60 KB’s Butterfly Sm, DD50 Circles and Dots. *brand new

Need to keep rolling…choir concert for my niece, cabinets to get in, a trip to the postoffice…and on it goes! 🙂

It is a so-so day here in WI today.  We have clouds and over cast (which we have suffered with all week!) and rain predicted for this afternoon.  I have a couple of adirondack rocking chairs from Karissa that I want to paint and the weather has not been co-operating.  My sister and I plan to freeze some corn this evening so looking forward to that.  I love having fresh tasting corn all winter!

My card today is once again following the same sketch.  I like to find a sketch I like and use it several times.

We continue to make progress on our re-model.  Kevin has all the holes patched and the ceiling painted so today we start on the walls.  It’s looking so fresh!  Hope your week is going well!

Moving Day!

Thank You Cards

Here is another sweet tag from Sharon!  I love the colors!

Today we are heading to MN to help Karissa move from one apartment to another! How does a year go so fast?? It seems like we just moved her and here we are moving again.

We have a few more states coming in anticipation of our upcoming show in West Springfield, MA!  Here they are:

so I was telling you about my 40 cards that I made for a friends 40th birthday.  Here is the beginning of them.  All of the cards are 3.5″x5.0″ to fit in a Bar 4 Envelope…including this little circle card. So fun to make it out of printed paper!

We made it all the way to Missoula, MT tonight.  We drove 13 hours yesterday and 13 hours today with another 8 to go tomorrow.  Ugh.  Tired of the truck!  Will be happy to be in Puyallup, WA!

Hello, Thank You Cards

look up

Good Morning!  It is an awesome day here in WI!  Sunshine Abounding!  We are actually headed to town–you know when we go to town- we do everything while there since we don’t go real often.  The big truck needs an oil change and tire rotation before we head to the great state of WA!  The little Ford dealer in town can’t do the big truck so we need to go down into Green Bay.  The joys of living in a small town 🙂  so sad we have to go to town and the big Ford dealer is next to my favorite TJ Maxx store! 🙂

Love this new little bird looking up!  Such a great reminder to look rather than look around at others!  The first card has the bigger bird F230 KB’s Emily Bird named after one of Karissa’s best friend, Emily!  and the smaller one is the brand new one just out in May (not even on website yet! I know…always behind!) D286.  Love it!

I am working on an project…imagine that :)…a friend of ours is having a 40th birthday.  She doesn’t want any party or recognition but we feel 40 is just too good to pass up the opportunity to do something fun for her so we are all sending her 40 of something.  I’m sending her 40 handmade cards!  I know a little crazy of me but I did 20 of them last night in two hours so I’m up for the challenge.  Plus the up side is I have a lot of cards done for the blog!  They are all 3.5″x5.0″ cards so very simple and fun. If you like Instagram (I really don’t even know what it is but it’s an app on my phone!) I’ve already started uploading them there and will get them to the blog soon.  I thought it would be hard to come up with that many ideas but our stamps are so versatile they even work for little cards.  It’s amazing what you can do with ink, paper, and stamps!  Have a great day.

Snowman, Thank You Cards

snowman 1snowman 2Monday Morning it is!  The weekends go sooooo fast!  I’m sending thanks this morning.  I really love the new fun cubes.  We are working on more too!  The sending fun cube is so useful for all kinds of things.  Tomorrow you’ll see it on a Christmas card.  Here’s what it looks like:

DD59I also need to make another sympathy card and I’m think of using the sending love.

Well it is cold here!  Minnesota is even colder and Karissa had no heat at her house yesterday.  The landlord apparently called everybody and everybody was busy.  She bought a space heater and heated up some rice pads for inside her bed.  She said it was 46 degrees in the house- that’s cold!  I hope she survived it!

Stamps Used:  JJ16 KB’s Snowman w/ Mouse border, DD60 1.00/1.25 Circles & Dots, C171 KB’s Snowflake, A212 KB’s Snowflake, DD59 Sending Fun Cube, F26 Your Thoughtfulness

Big Thanks

Thank You Cards

thank youa BIG thank you to Mesa, AZ for making our trip worthwhile!  We had a great time this weekend!  So fun to see Taylor, Julia, Scarlett, Mary Jane and Sarah to name just a few!  Met a new friend named Beth who is a Bears Fan so I’m not too sure about her 🙂  The Green Bay Packers play the Bears in Monday Night Football tonight!  That should be an exciting game.

We made it to Yuma, AZ last night around 11 pm.  We will spend a few days with Kevin’s parents before heading to the Carson, CA show.  Looking forward to that show since it has been about a year and a half since we have been there.  Frantically stuffing make n takes this week since our Mesa crowd made lots of make n takes!

Balance and 1″ Scallop

Thank You Cards

1 scallopGood Morning!  Since we have been getting questions regarding the punches that we use on these cards I thought I would do a little explaining this morning.

Most of the cards that I have done in the past used a 1.25″ scallop with a 1″ circle layered on top.  This morning I used a 1″ scallop with a 1 1/8″ circle behind.  Pam, I told you 1.25″ circle but It really looks better with a 1 1/8″ behind (Sorry about that).   I will try to get the punches on the website today since I know some have had trouble finding them.

The 1.25 scallop with 1″ circle gives a little more stamping room.  If you have smaller stamps and want less room than the 1″ scallop with 1 1/8″ circle works better.

mini 3 d dotsAt one of the shows recently someone asked me if I had mini 3 d dots.  I didn’t and wasn’t sure what they were but I love 3 d dots so I went looking for them.  Here they are!  and yes they are MINI!  Kind of a challenge to use but not bad.

Balance:  some people know what this is and some people don’t really care.  and it’s ok to not really care we are suppose to be having a fun, relaxing time stamping not stressing ourselves out!  But if you pay attention to balance it is more pleasing to the eye.  If you notice this stamp D25 Trio Daisies that I used on the card…I used the left side for the bottom and the right side for the top.  I don’t know if you can tell but I did use the mini 3 d dots to raise the top flower.  This puts the card in balance!  Mirror Reverse stamps also help with balance.

Karissa went on vacation so I guess I’ll blog for her tomorrow so she won’t have to worry about it.  Kevin’s sister from California is flying in tomorrow so we are excited to see her.  And another funeral…my friend Carol lost her 45 year old son unexpectedly on Saturday so want to go to that funeral and show her our love  and support.  Have a great Thursday.

P.S. I did something funny on this card…can any of you tell what it was?
