heart meltthis card is so appropriate for the days since it seems like most of the nation is getting snow!  We got a couple inches yesterday and it is snowing again!  It’s a little warmer- around 20 degrees suppose to get to 28 degrees which seems really warm.  It’s all in your perspective.

I love this new little you make my heart melt stamp…perfect for snowman.

Snowman, Winter

cold outsidewe continue to have cold weather but we are up to 14 so that is 30 degrees warmer!  Makes a big difference!  I can actually run to the shop without a coat when it is 14 not so much when it is -15!

Feel for all my friends in Atlanta who are getting the snow/sleet stuff again!  But it makes for a great stamping day since school/work closed???!! Right!

I was busy designing new stamps last night.  Well actually, I was looking at all the things Karissa has sent me and wanted to get some of the images into rubber!  Can’t wait for them.  My house is a wreck though I’m going to need to take a day to clean it.  Hate that. And maybe clean some clothes along the way 🙂

My sister and family are coming for supper tonight so I’d better get to cooking!  I have a recipe for The Cheesecake Factory’s chicken costalotta and it is sooooo good!  Tastes just like at the restaurant ! I’m either a really good cook or it just tastes so good to be home and making home cooked meals.  It’s probably just good to be eating home cooked food 🙂

It’s Hump day!  We are half way through the week! Have a good one.

Snowman

snow happens 1Snow has been happening here!  We have had several more inches of the white stuff!  So pretty!

Here is my dishwasher with the clean/dirty signs made out of scrabble letters…

dishwasher 1my dishwasher is actually two drawers!  I love it.  With just Kevin and I it’s nice to run small loads.  And yet when my sister and her family come over it holds everything!  It actually got terrible reviews online but I really like the machine.  It cleans well and loads great.  I think I needed the signs to keep track of what was clean and what wasn’t!

Wed Jan 22nd!

Our World, Snowman

purple:red snowmanso this card I used the Sizzix die but extended the end that seems short to me.  I extended it by not placing my top cutting board over the end.  If you look in the comments there are a few instructions from customers that show other ways to extend and there is a you tube video showing how to extend.  Love the purple and red…reminds of the purple hat ladies clubs!

Here is my latest project that I’ve been working on….

old window 1before our son left home this summer we had some family pictures taken.  I had this old window that I bought with my birthday money from my Mom.  I love using my birthday money from my Mom and Dad for special things.   It just puts a smile on my face when I see the things in the house and remember my parents and just little things they  do like birthday cards with money! 🙂

I love scrabble letters.  Have used them for a few things.  I made  clean/dirty signs for dishwasher.  I will try and show them tomorrow.  Our names worked out perfectly with the scrabble letters.

Monday Football Blues

snowman 1snowman 2Good Monday Morning to You!  Green Bay is drowning its sorrows in our loss to the 49ers but now we can quit thinking about football!

This super cute purple snowman card was sent to me by a customer and I thought it was adorable so I thought if you could stand another snowman card…here it is!  I just love snowman!  It is really cold here -15 but I think we were so prepared for bitter cold that it doesn’t seem so bad.  We leave for Texas on Wednesday and it was only 19 down there so only 30+ degrees better but you still have to were coats and gloves and things but it will probably feel like a heat wave!

Snowman

happy winter 1It has been quite a winter here in Green Bay!  Today’s temp -15 degrees.  yep, we are in the red!  The high for today is 1 degree.  I have three shirts on today, two pair of pants, long underwear, two pair of socks…I think I’ll be o.k.!  It’s pretty warm in the shop but because we stand on cement your feet can be cold which makes your whole body cold.  Here’s a nice winter card for the day!

Go Pack Go!  We made it into the playoffs!  The 49ers will come to Green Bay next week to play in the cold!

snow 3snow insideWe are so going to have a white Christmas this year!  The snow just keeps coming and coming.  It’s beautiful!

Snowman, Thank You Cards

snowman 1snowman 2Monday Morning it is!  The weekends go sooooo fast!  I’m sending thanks this morning.  I really love the new fun cubes.  We are working on more too!  The sending fun cube is so useful for all kinds of things.  Tomorrow you’ll see it on a Christmas card.  Here’s what it looks like:

Well it is cold here!  Minnesota is even colder and Karissa had no heat at her house yesterday.  The landlord apparently called everybody and everybody was busy.  She bought a space heater and heated up some rice pads for inside her bed.  She said it was 46 degrees in the house- that’s cold!  I hope she survived it!

Monday Madness!

snowman w mouseso I really like using crazy  colors for snowman cards!  Makes them so interesting.  This was a popular card at the One of a Kind Rubber Stamp Show in Madison.  We had a great time there this weekend.  Everyone kept looking for a little snowman stamp with a mouse but the stamp is actually quite big.  Here is what it looks like:

JJ16so it can go across a full card…can be used in punches…or stamped in a little one inch circle!  so cute!

We had a lot to do today 😦 and I’m not sure if we accomplished a lot or not :).  I have been fighting a back pain that I’m not sure where it is coming from but I think a pulled muscle in my shoulder.  No pain when I lay down but standing or sitting causes great discomfort that advil doesn’t even touch. Holding my shoulder very still helps too!       Hard to get things done but we did get all the special orders and internet orders out.  I have a few store orders we are working on but they are almost done too!  Had a productive one hour stamping so I should have some cards to upload this week.  so I guess I got some things done  🙂  Went grocery shopping to get stuff to make: yams, homemade rolls, apple pie, cherry pie and or course pumpkin pie.  Looking forward to Thanksgiving!

Amarillo

Tonight finds us in Amarillo, TX!  Whew it has been a LONG drive!  We picked up  Kevin’s sister Tamara in Kansas City, MO on Sunday (after arriving at 11:20 pm the night before) and had a big day and then drove 7 hours or so to Tulsa, OK while listening to the Packers vs. the Vikings game.  Glad for a big win!  Monday morning found us traveling to Muskogee, OK to visit Aunt Gerri who Kevin has never met before and then off to Amarillo.  Tomorrow is a big day of 12 hours travel so we hope to be up very early and be off.

This snowman card is one of my favorites!  I’m hoping to make it into a make n take for Madison.  Not sure what words I want yet….maybe my coolest friend!

I have been plagued with some sort of plugged ear; from what I have no idea.  It has happened maybe three or four times in the last few years but quite troublesome 🙂  I’ve been hot packing it, putting drops in it, taking medication and nothing seems to help.  Ugh!  Ready for it to go bother someone else!

Stamp Lift!

stamp lift 3So here is my stamp lifted card from Karissa’s card on Friday.  Stamp Lifting is just taking the basic idea of the card and making it into your own.  It might be the colors, the layout, or the stamps that you like and you change to make it your own.  I used mostly the same stamps, mostly the layout, and for sure the colors!

You’ll notice the background of snowflakes are perfectly random.  I used the “Perfectly Random Template”  Here are the pics…

We had an awesome weekend home!  I’ll try and show pictures of all that we accomplished on Saturday and then a nice relaxing day on Sunday.  Have a good Monday.

be merrySince Karissa has a busy Friday today…I told her I would blog for her.  I’ve been doing that alot lately.  Hmm wonder what’s up with her 🙂  Actually, a friend of hers is getting married today.  Lucky she sends me cards even on my days!

Love the silver snowflakes in the background.  I also like how Karissa colored her snowman with the light blue to match the background.  I think I’m going to sketch lift this card and show you on Monday.  And I have some more pictures of our stamping making process for Monday.
