so yesterday was a little crazy for us!  We finally arrived home from Novi, MI around 2:30 in the morning. Usually I sleep but because of the HUGE thunderstorms that went across the Midwest, Kevin needed me to stay awake to keep checking the radar. It was chasing us as we left MI and then we finally ran into it as we came back around the lake in Chicago. It was pretty ferocious!  The lightening was amazing but I would really rather not be driving in it with a really big RV!

Then I had to be up by 7 am to get my orders for accessories in only to be told they are so far behind right not that I have no hope of receiving my order for the Stampaway show this weekend. Such is life- should have stayed in bed 😊

Good Morning!  We are headed home today from West Springfield, MA where we had a fabulous time. Fun to see regulars…Nancy, Pat, Claudia, Helen, and so many more!  A super BIG thank you to Susan for helping with the Make n Takes !  She was a great help!

Today brings a simple card using our new stamps!  I’m hoping to get them on the website soon!

We only have one other show this month in Minneapolis, MN which is my home town.  I have a nephew graduating from high school Father’s day weekend.  Between his graduation and the Minneapolis show I’m going to paint my Mom and Dad’s kitchen cabinets. I love to paint!

feel better4It is a beautiful day here in WI.  I image that everyone is all rested from a nice long weekend 🙂  Either that or we are tired from the long weekend!

We had a productive weekend.  A little more re-modeling around the house:  kitchen floor is all ripped out; outlets were put in the kitchen island; powder bathroom floor ripped out and the walls repainted; flower pot outsides all replanted; entire house was power washed; decking all power washed; danylions pulled (never ending, unthankful job :)) Yep, it was a good weekend.  We even met some of my second cousins for lunch on Sunday and had a day of memories!

So glad your feeling better is a nice cheerful card to send to a friend who’s been sick or down.

Hello!  We arrived in Portland yesterday along with President Obama!   We were pretty tired from the drive but woke up this morning refreshed and ready to go again.  We have our booth all set up, we made a few stamps that we had brought with us, and now we are ready for a good nights sleep 🙂

It’s Thursday so we are almost to Friday!  Whoopie!  We have company coming this long weekend so we are very excited but we NEED to get the house back in order.  The chaos is about sending me over the edge.  We should finish the floor today and get everything back in the living room and that leaves Friday to get the house clean and the grass mowed.

The card today comes from this sketch I found on Pinterest…

sketchI love sketches because they are such a great starting point.  I saw the three little flags and thought of our triple banner flag stamp.  I had a little trouble because the pink with red polka dots paper had trouble in the ScannCut.  Sometimes if the patterned paper is too patterned the scan doesn’t really know what to look for.  So I tricked it a little.  Here is what I did.

I stamped the F235 on Acetate with Staz-On ink.  I then scanned the acetate into the machine.

Next I stamped the F235 Triple Banner Stamp unto the patterned paper and slid it in under the acetate and matched the lines up.

I then made sure the paper was sticking and took the acetate off and cut the paper just like I wanted.  Where there’s a will there is a way!  Except for that felt I’ve been working on.  I was asked to see if the machine would cut felt and the box says that it does but I’ve been having trouble with it.  I will keep working on it!

how amazing is this little espresso cup?  Karissa sent these pictures to me last night and I LOVE the cup.  She actually stamped right on the cup.  So I was trying to figure out how she did it and had it look so cool.  She generally uses cling mount due to a lack of space at her place so I was thinking she just wrapped it around but she said that she lays the stamp down and rolls the cup over it!  So Cool!

We were up at 5:30 this am since we have a quite a bit to do.  Can’t talk any of those nephews into mowing lawn this week… my sister said she would but I talked her into cutting stamps for me instead 🙂  She loves me!  Thanks goodness!  Bee Well  Today!

Another Triple Flag Card!  Love them!  My new Favorite!  I like doing the three different stamps on the flag but I was thinking how nice it would be to have one stamp that does all three words…so we made some new stamps…here they are!

Here is another cute little 3.5″x5.0″ made with the sizzix triple flip it circle dies.  This card was part of my 40 card birthday present.

We had an awesome time is Puyallup as usual.  So fun to see all the regulars Darlene, Yara, Sharon, Linda and so many more!  Had some awesome students in my classes and enjoyed our time here is WA!  Getting ready to head to Portland, OR today.  Washed some clothes, got my orders all together, and re-packed and got all organized again.  Hope your week has started out good too!
