Christmas Cards, Coffee

Santa Cup

It’s a Santa Coffee Cup!  I’ve been working on a make n take project for the Strongsville, OH show this weekend.  It’s a little complicated because you have 10 people doing the project and only 15 minutes!  That is not very much time.  So I decided to do a coffee cup project and sent over the picture of the honeycomb with the bees stamped on the cup (there is a picture of that project on the blog earlier this year!)   BUT I got to thinking (I really need to stop thinking! ) that it is halloween and Christmas time so I should have cups to go along with the season.  I came up with this little Santa cup but it takes way more than 15 minutes to complete so although it is very cute…not for this weekend.

You all know how much I love my brother scan n cut and here is another fine example of why.  I have a flourish punch (like the one on Santa’s belt) but it was way too  big for the coffee cup.  I got to thinking about the pre loaded shapes in the brother and sure enough I found the flourish shape….resized it…and we were good to go!  Love it.

You also know how much I love the little tiny dot stamps that most people think are useless (unless you have one than you know how useful they are!) they have been used for Santa’s cheek and his tongue!  Way Cool!

Well, I have got to get to work.  Lots of orders to go out AND  we have some new stamps coming!  If you noticed the “naughty or nice?” saying??!  It’s on a new fun cube…We should have the new stamps this weekend and hopefully I will get them on the website next week during our time between the two shows while sitting in the hotel!  I also will show you on Thursday and Friday the two coffee cups for the Strongsville, OH make n take Friday night session.

Here is the new naughty or nice fun cube…

how amazing is this little espresso cup?  Karissa sent these pictures to me last night and I LOVE the cup.  She actually stamped right on the cup.  So I was trying to figure out how she did it and had it look so cool.  She generally uses cling mount due to a lack of space at her place so I was thinking she just wrapped it around but she said that she lays the stamp down and rolls the cup over it!  So Cool!

We were up at 5:30 this am since we have a quite a bit to do.  Can’t talk any of those nephews into mowing lawn this week… my sister said she would but I talked her into cutting stamps for me instead 🙂  She loves me!  Thanks goodness!  Bee Well  Today!

Good Afternoon!  How you bean?  so simple and cute.  Love these 3.5″x5.0″ cards.

Kevin and I had quite an adventure today!  Sometimes we do some crazy things…like driving in downtown Portland with the big truck and trailer!  Look at this awesome scenery we have seen!

so here is another awesome card from Michelle!  She puts a ton of work into her cards and it sure shows!  Love them!  Love how she sewed the edge of this card.  I have a sewing machine in my studio but it is not completely set up but I’m getting inspired by these cards.  I also like how she used the swiss dot stamps with a circle die cut!

Lots going on today…we have special company coming today.  One of our 95 year old ministers and his great nephew and his great great nephew.  What a privilege! My parent are coming to spend a couple of days 🙂  Happy they are feeling well enough to travel.  The laundry room is almost done!!!!  Very, very close!  I need to order a door today since we are changing the doors in the house because they are just cheap standard grade ugly doors.  Oh and can’t forget the trip to the accountant to file taxes and send the good old USA a check!  Have a great day hope your having a special day too!

ok Mother Nature we thought you should know we are really done with SNOW!  And yes this was my commute to work this morning!  The pictures don’t due it justice.  The wind was incredible so the snow was flying all over the place, the driveway is a sheet of ice and it’s hard to tell in the picture but the shop is actually down a little hill.  gross!  I guess Friday has more snow in the forecast!  I wanted to unload the trailer today so that I could order my MNT paper but I guess that will have to wait for another day.

My friend, Michelle, who has a blog inspiration blooms.blogspot.com made me some cards that are adorable!  I really wanted to send some of them to my friends they are so adorable but I guess they better go in the booth so you all can enjoy too!

Coffee, Valentine's Day

d&tthis is our project for D&T this year.  Many of you know I’ve been making these little coffee cups into treat coffee cups and loving them!  We have some new stamps that say “treat for you”  “a treat for you” “gift for you” and “gift card value” and they work nicely!

So today is a really special day!  It is Kevin and my 30th Wedding Anniversary!  We are celebrating at an awesome restaurant called Chives in our little town of Suamico.  It is a high end restaurant that is really good but a little pricey so we have to plan for it.  Our good friends, Chris and Rick, were also married on this same day and in the same year so we celebrate together!  Need to get my work done so I can relax tonight!

bulb and branch

bulb and branch insideGood Monday Morning!  It’s going to be a great day!  My back/shoulder/rib pain is almost gone!  Yes, I’m so excited!  That was painful.  We decided that I must have pulled a rib muscle in the cold during set up for the Madison show.  I was pushing a cart and it hit a hole and I reached to grab it to keep it from tipping over.  While it didn’t hurt at the time…it became increasing uncomfortable over the next few days.  Any way that is our best guess!  I like the saying a body in motion stays in motion so I just kept moving even though I thought it was going to kill me 🙂

Here’s a very simple Christmas card this morning.  So easy and just a few steps!

Stamps Used:  EE41, CC48, G289, F51 & F181

So I did venture out on Black Friday…walked in to Joanne Fabrics and looked at all the people and walked out!  My winter project is a blue and yellow quilt.  I had blue fabric and yellow fabric but I wanted a really cool blue and yellow fabric.  I had cut all the fabric on thanksgiving but knew I needed more.  So I thought surely it can’t be that bad.  Well it was!  Then on Saturday Kevin need to go to town for something so I thought I would try Joannes again.  Not quite as bad so I started looking for fabric when a young girl said to me “do you have your ticket for cutting yet?”  no, I said and she said “you better get it if you have any hope of getting fabric cut!” So I went and got one.  It was B17.  There were currently on A22.  Good Grief!  so I just glanced through the fabric and found just the PERFECT fabric.  Groan!  So I sent Kevin on his way to do his errands and I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited.  Seriously 2 hours later I got my fabric cut!  But the fabric is perfect!  I love it!  Will take a picture tonight to show you guys.

so this is the mess that I’m going to clean up today….wish me luck.  hate paper work 😦 🙂
