Christmas Cards

MC 1

MC 2here’s the same pattern card as yesterday but using a much different stamp.  The stamps actually looks like this:

G205-[Converted]I just stamped the image and then punched out the circles in the areas that I wanted.  Makes the stamp look completely different.

Stamps Used:  G205 KB’s Snowman Scene, Sm; F72 Merry Christmas Vertical

almost have my paperwork done!  Can’t wait.  I need to get the projects in the garage done so that I can then put the displays in the garage so they can all be re-worked.  We re-do all the displays and move the stamps around.  Not my favorite job but keeps the displays fresh.  House cleaning today before finishing the paperwork. Have a great day we are almost to the weekend.

Here is an awesome Christmas card using the three circle die by Die-namics.  I think it’s a cool die but it has limitations.  I wanted a die that just cut three circles but this one cuts a frame around the three circles and then rounds the edges.  I would rather have one that just does the three circles because I can frame it and round the corners.  Then I can frame it however I would like 🙂  Our goal for 2014 is to introduce our own dies.  You’ll see a die with just three circles since it would be so useful!  I like when you can use things for more than just one way.  This particular die really has its limitations but I do like it.

Stamps Used:  G251 Double Solid Poinsettia Lg, C165 Double Solid Poinsettia Sm, E209 Christmas Reason Rejoice, F72 Merry Christmas Vertical Lg

snowso this is what we woke up to this morning out our bedroom window!  Snow!  How pretty!  I told you I would show you the fabric I stood in line so long for….

fabricit really was perfect!  the fabric is all washed and cut and I have about 15 squares sewn,  just 90 or so to go!  well I’d better get to work on that paperwork.  the desk is clear but all the balancing starts and the final paperwork for the accountant.  ugh.  my goal is to have it done by Friday 🙂 we’ll see how far I get.

Wednesday Madness!

Christmas Cards

joyful

joyful insideSo it is hump day of a week of madness!  Having a terrible time with my madness back pain.  The bright side of things is that when I lay down the pain goes away.  So I work a little, lay a little, work a little, lay a little!  Onward rejoicing we go!  House cleaning day today and then on to pie making.  No kids for thanksgiving this year.  I think this is a first for us.  I guess we raise them to go on to their own lives not to live with us for ever!  Have a great day!

Stamps Used:  C193 AP’s Holly, C217 Be Joyful!, E209 Xmas Season Reason Rejoice.

Off to Madison!

Christmas Cards

be merrytrying to be merry this morning as we get ready to leave for Madison!  It is going to be a COLD one!  We got a dusting of snow last night and since it’s below freezing I guess it will stay!  Hoping that the roads are not too bad so we decided to wait till daylight to leave and hope WI has done some salting.  Have a good weekend!

Stamps Used:  G205 KB’s Snowman Scene & C215 Be Merry!

Christmas Bells

Christmas Cards

xmas bellsthe picture doesn’t even show how awesome this card is. The colors are beautiful together.  I like the added touch of black.  At first I made it all silver and teal but the little bit of black really sets it off.  Stamps Used:  F193 Hanging Bells, G287 Christmas  Wishes

We finally finished making stamps at 5 pm today!  Seemed like it took forever!  I now need to get all the make n takes ready, get the odds and ends ready and oh try not to forget to pack some clothes! Oh, and also make 15 cards for the blog while we are gone.  yikes, there is still a lot to do. I also didn’t clean on Wednesday since I was too busy making stamps so that needs to be done before we leave.  Brought all my plants in so they don’t die while we are gone…hopefully my sister will keep them alive by watering them 🙂

so our next journey in the stamp making process is to cushion everything.   I really should have taken a picture of what the rubber looks like when it comes out of the vulcanizer because it looks kind of cool.  Maybe when we get back I will try and remember to do that because they do have to be trimmed before they are cushioned.

photo 3Now with the added cling cushion we really have to pay attention to make sure we get the right cushion!  We usually just cut with a blade.  Well I had better get some rest so I can be up and at them tomorrow!

be merry!

Christmas Cards, Snowman, Uncategorized

be merrySince Karissa has a busy Friday today…I told her I would blog for her.  I’ve been doing that alot lately.  Hmm wonder what’s up with her 🙂  Actually, a friend of hers is getting married today.  Lucky she sends me cards even on my days!

Love the silver snowflakes in the background.  I also like how Karissa colored her snowman with the light blue to match the background.  I think I’m going to sketch lift this card and show you on Monday.  And I have some more pictures of our stamping making process for Monday.

Stamps Used: C215 Be Merry; EE37 KB’s Plain Snowman Looking Up; AA27 Snowflakes; F210 Giga Rectangle

Have a good weekend!  So happy to be home this weekend 🙂

Be Merry!

Christmas Cards

be merryso I’m not really sure why this card is so blurry!  Karissa will be giving me grief over it!  She hates blurry pictures 🙂  Oh well such is life some days!  The background came out awesome.  White embossed snowflakes with distress ink!  Not so happy about the card but some days are like that!  It’s been THAT kind of a day.  I think I’ll go and vulcanize (that the baking part of making stamps) since that doesn’t require too much out of me 🙂

Happy Wednesday

Christmas Bulb

Christmas Cards

xmas bulbMade this card yesterday for the wholesale orders.  The super fun thing about these Triple Circle Z Folds is how quick they are!  Minutes really to a great card.  Nice for when you are in a hurry.  If you notice the Christmas Tree Sizzix Embossing Folder I didn’t use the entire tree.  I tried to but it just didn’t look right.  It looks so much better with the partial tree.

The paper is a Wild Cherry Triple Circle Z Fold card from The Paper Cut.  We hope to get these on the website today.  It is next on my list after blogging!

We are so enjoying being at home!  I cleaned out my truck yesterday…it looks awesome all cleaned out.  I told my sister that her children couldn’t eat in my truck any more!  She laughed and said “good luck with that..you’ll need to enforce it!”  I am kinda weak with the kids 🙂

Well I better get to work so I can get caught up so I can start working on my DIY projects!
