I wish the pictures would have turned out  better of the little coffee cups 😦 The pictures just don’t do them justice.   By if you are in Grapevine, TX this weekend you can see them in person!  Information about the show can be found at http://www.heirloompro.com

Coffee, Valentine's Day

d&tthis is our project for D&T this year.  Many of you know I’ve been making these little coffee cups into treat coffee cups and loving them!  We have some new stamps that say “treat for you”  “a treat for you” “gift for you” and “gift card value” and they work nicely!

So today is a really special day!  It is Kevin and my 30th Wedding Anniversary!  We are celebrating at an awesome restaurant called Chives in our little town of Suamico.  It is a high end restaurant that is really good but a little pricey so we have to plan for it.  Our good friends, Chris and Rick, were also married on this same day and in the same year so we celebrate together!  Need to get my work done so I can relax tonight!

Monday Football Blues

Snowman

snowman 1snowman 2Good Monday Morning to You!  Green Bay is drowning its sorrows in our loss to the 49ers but now we can quit thinking about football!

This super cute purple snowman card was sent to me by a customer and I thought it was adorable so I thought if you could stand another snowman card…here it is!  I just love snowman!  It is really cold here -15 but I think we were so prepared for bitter cold that it doesn’t seem so bad.  We leave for Texas on Wednesday and it was only 19 down there so only 30+ degrees better but you still have to were coats and gloves and things but it will probably feel like a heat wave!

Have a good Monday!

Birthday, Gift Card Holders

flowers 1Good Morning!  it’s cold here! -9 this am It’s so cold here that nobody is buying tickets to the Green Bay Packers Game on Sunday so they may have a local television black out!  How crazy is that?  In all the years of living here, we’ve never heard of a local black out.  Green Bay Packer Fans are usually die hards but the forecast will be really cold!

so I’m trying to be organized and get a head start on things…our son, Travis, has a birthday on Jan 15th so I’ve already made a money holder for him so that I won’t forget his birthday.  Since his birthday always comes at this crazy time of year, I’ve been known to forget 😦

travis 2I was greeted this morning with this little cluster of flowers!  I decided to try and save my summer flowers over the winter to see if I could keep them living.  They look kind of dead but then came some new little green flowers, and then some buds, and now flowers!  so awesome!

Have a great weekend!  Go Pack Go!

Happy New Year!

Gift Card Holders

gift card 1gift card 2This is project 2 in my new envelope punch board class!  It’s adorable!  And easy!

Happy New 2014 to everybody…I know I’m a little late…things are always a little frantic right before the first show of the year…Getting all the D&T’s designed, new MNT’s and of course the class, AND re-doing all the cases.  Re-doing the cases is the most tedious and boring job ever!  All the new stamps need places, the non-sellers need to be taken out and of course that means all the cards need to be shifted too!  so we are very busy!  and as many can imagine…boring and tedious is NOT my cup of tea 🙂

We also have this very old dog named Cocoa who is 18 years old and very frail but has a wonderful disposition so we can’t put her down.   But she takes a whole bunch of time!  We even cook for her because she has decided she doesn’t like dog food.  Her favorite treat is Fruit Loops!  I think Kevin will take good care of me when I’m old because he takes such good care of Cocoa!

I hope we all have a good year for 2014 in all the ways that God would want us too!

happy winter 1It has been quite a winter here in Green Bay!  Today’s temp -15 degrees.  yep, we are in the red!  The high for today is 1 degree.  I have three shirts on today, two pair of pants, long underwear, two pair of socks…I think I’ll be o.k.!  It’s pretty warm in the shop but because we stand on cement your feet can be cold which makes your whole body cold.  Here’s a nice winter card for the day!

Go Pack Go!  We made it into the playoffs!  The 49ers will come to Green Bay next week to play in the cold!

Birthday, Creatures, Frogs & Bugs

kb bee 1kb bee 3here are a couple of cards Karissa made when she was home for Christmas.  She had to go back on Christmas day so she only got to  spend Tuesday and Wednesday at home.  I wanted to do a lot of work on Tuesday but she convinced me to go shopping instead!  But we had a great day together and I can work any old day! 🙂

Christmas day was busy with the usual turkey, ham, potatoes, stuffing etc.. but on Thursday we made porgies.  It is a family dish that has been handed down for generation to generation.  I made them myself this time with a little help from my Dad and Brad.

progies 1

here they all are drying the dough.  We made about 95 of them.  We only had 35 left over!  I was hoping to freeze some for later but we sure did enjoy them.  My brother Brad and my sister Sonya and I had not had them for several years.  We really enjoyed them.  They were worth cooking all day for.  Kevin did the dishes tonight so that us kids cook play Rook together.  It was a good day!
