Christmas Cards

Good day to you all!  Here is WI it has been raining and likely will rain all week!  That’s ok with all the projects we have going.  Here is a Christmas card using the Triple Flag paper and our new warmth and wonder of the season stamp.

treasures2

here are a few of my treasures from the weekend.  Some really cool house letters, a wooden ruler (that I have no idea what I’m going to do with but it’s cool!) and some glass knobs.

this little treasure I’m going to paint and use for a sewing cabinet.  I think 🙂

Well I’m off to work so that I can do a little painting this afternoon….thinking of painting my piano since it is really ugly!

Acetate Trick~

Good Morning!  We are back from our mini vacation (not sure it was a VACATION!) but we had a ton of fun.  First thing this morning…I would like to share the acetate trick since I’ve gotten a ton of emails on it and this way I can answer them all at once!

This Christmas bulb, because of the two dots that are on the edge, the scan and cut goes into the holes which we really don’t want so I stamp it on paper and put it on the mat.

next I place acetate over the top and draw where I want the machine to cut:

you may want to draw just a little bit better than I did!  I was in a hurry 🙂  I then scan the paper with the acetate on it and wait for the machine to recognize the borders.  Before I hit the cut button; I take off the acetate!  Pretty simple.  I do save the piece of acetate for future use.  You could save your image on an usb drive but then you would have to line it up and this way is much simpler to just use the same acetate over and over again.

hopefully that all makes sense!

We had an awesome time at the Nowthen Threshing show in Nowthen,  MN with my Dad this weekend!  Here is what we did:

flee market

My Dad buys and sells antique tools…well really all kinds of tools and things.  Gives him something to do.  I actually purchased (the price was right~FREE!) quite a collection from him.  I told Kevin we needed to bring the little car so we didn’t bring home too much!  We ended up bringing the suburban and it was a good thing.  Kevin got a quite a few treasures too.

Better get to work….several orders need to go out today and we have that whole pile of flooring in the garage. 🙂

Christmas Cards

rudolphso this morning I have a card from my friend JoAnne at The Stamp Shoppe in Schofield,  WI.  It is so cute..I love the red nose!  We have a few more Christmas cards and then a awesome sympathy card from Karissa coming up.  I have been working on the booth displays for next year so those cards will start showing up on the blog.

We got about 8 inches of snow yesterday.  It was beautiful and I even had to go out and drive in it and it was still beautiful 🙂  Needless to say we have a lot of snow on the ground.  Some years we don’t even have snow for Christmas so this is really nice.  Kevin will be out plowing for most of the day!  I think he drags it out so he doesn’t have to make stamps 🙂  Have a good Monday.

Christmas Cards

joy wreathI’ve been seeing these doors on Pintrest and have been wanting to try them!  I really love how the wreath came out on this one.  I used Lifestyle Crafts Scallop and Circle dies since they have soooo many sizes.  I punched out with creme paper and then with jelly bean green ink and our pine branch I stamped the branches.  Of course I had to include a fun cube…the sending fun cube which is one of my favorites!

Stamps Used:  F181 KB’s Pine Branch, DD59 Sending Fun Cube

For those who have been asking…I do have in stock the last three embossing folders…the candy one, the branches and the swirl.  The embossing folder with the ornaments was discontinued by Cuttlebug.  Ugh why do they also discontinue the good stuff???

It’s Friday!  With a holiday week ahead.  We have lots of family coming next week so excited!

snow2I had to take a picture this morning.  It’s snowing again!!!  If you look at the trees you can see all the snow coming down.  It is so pretty!  Have a great weekend!

Christmas Cards

white:silver tree 1white:silver tree 2We have a big day today.  Plowing all the snow!  It will take Kevin several hours to plow so I’m on my own making stamps this morning.  The house is clean and I’m ready to roll!

It’s hard to see in the picture but this card is made with shimmer paper.  The white embossed background is white shimmer paper.  The silver shimmers and then just plain white.  Makes such a stunning card.  I used Silver Metallic Encore ink.  It is one of my favorite inks.  It is a pigment ink but it dries fast.  Not as fast as dye ink  but close!

Stamps Used:  C217 Be Joyful!, G145 Dotted Christmas Tree, D253 KB’s heart flag, G83 Peace and Joy at Xmas, B146 Dotted Christmas Tree sm

Yipee! It’s Friday

Stamps Used:  D205 KB’s Tree, D132 Wondrous Spirit, G279 Merry Christmas Circle

so I went to the post office yesterday and I came home with a big smile (the guy who almost hit me going through the new round about on the way didn’t even make me lose my smile) and this is why…

go pack goSandy, an Endless Creations and Packer Fan, sent me this little package.  Anyone who follows NFL football probably knows that the Green Bay Packers (our team!) is in big trouble with out quarterback Aaron Rodgers out the last five weeks and maybe more??  We have not won a game since so I love the sign almost as much as I love the scarf!  Thank You Sandy and Byron!

keep calm

how cool is this???  I’m still smiling!
