another fabulous card from Michelle! My folks headed home today so we made stamps all day long! Almost forgot to blog we were so busy trying to get things done for the show next week in Akron, OH. Anniversary/Wedding, Birthday, Friendship, Mother's Day
Good Morning! Another great card today from Michelle! I love her use of color. We worked in the shop this morning and now we are headed out thrift store shopping with my Mom and Dad. I have most of my projects done and have been itching to go to the thrift stores. So hopefully we’ll find some good bargains today!
The snow is mostly gone and we have sunshine today so a perfect WI day!

Snowman
Here is a card with my sq sizzix die that I cut! I usually cut the paper at 5.5″x either 10.5″ or 11.0″ if you cut it longer you can always adjust but cutting some off. Always better to error on the cautious side. I then score at 4.25″ and then flip the card around so that I can place the die edge at approximately 4.25″
You can see how I cut my die with simple tin snips. In the background you can see a couple other cards that I made longer. I always tape the die down so that it doesn’t move! Any other questions about the dies- just let me know in the comments.

Finally got to use my triple square sizzix die! And YES, I did cut this one too. Just seems easier to use the die cut. I didn’t get this one placed quite right but it still looks cool.

Just a Note
just a quick note tonight….
Got a lot done today but so ready for bed tonight! We were able to get several orders done today and will ship them in the morning (all the while working on stamps for Akron, OH Convention too!) We also sealed the tile counter in the laundry room, then grouted it tonight, and then spray painted the heater grids. Kevin was able to put all the trim back. In the morning we should be able to put my washer and dryer back in the laundry room. Really have missed the washer and dryer!

Monday March 31st
Thinking of YouWell it’s the last day of March!! Where does time go? I have about had it with the remodel project 🙂 I can take disorder only so long and then I need order! We are just starting to tile today. All the other days have been just getting the floor ready. I was glad for a day of rest yesterday. Last night at 6 pm I thought about doing some knitting but decided I was too tired so I closed my eyes and promptly feel asleep. Woke up at midnight to put pj’s on and went back to sleep till 6 am! I guess I was tired.
Love how the border stamp separates this top layer of the card. But then again I love border stamps! We have been using this border stamp in Design & Treasure at the Heirloom shows for those of you who have attended that event. We used it on the coffee cup liner. Here is another way to use that stamp. It looks like this:

Well better get my orders done so I can do some tiling! UGH! 🙂 The sad part is that this is the first room of many rooms that need re-modeling. I love the planning part and the designing part but the actual work…not so much. I guess we could pay to have it done but that just seems too expensive and I know that Kevin will do it right because he is a perfectionist. He measures once, than twice, than again, and again by this time you can imagine me…almost over the edge 🙂

so for those of who have been wondering if I ever cut my tripe circle die and the answer is YES! It is so much more useful this way. You can do it without cutting the die but to much fussiness for me!! I like quick and easy. I don’t have time to monkey around 🙂 Love cutting printed paper card!
oh so easy!! Need to light a fire under me today so that I can get my re-model on the laundry room done! Using muscles that don’t get used so often so a little creaky today. Have a great weekend and hopefully my project will be almost done.

Snowman, Valentine's Day
well my goodness, we continue to get SNOW! We get a couple of inches then Kevin plows and we get a couple more, so he plows, and then we get MORE! It really is pretty! The ground is beautiful.
this card is a little smaller than the usual so that I could put the heart on top and still fit it into a A2 size Envelope. I also like to use the snow pile for my snowman so that they look like they are sitting on something!

this card is so appropriate for the days since it seems like most of the nation is getting snow! We got a couple inches yesterday and it is snowing again! It’s a little warmer- around 20 degrees suppose to get to 28 degrees which seems really warm. It’s all in your perspective.

Snowman, Winter
we continue to have cold weather but we are up to 14 so that is 30 degrees warmer! Makes a big difference! I can actually run to the shop without a coat when it is 14 not so much when it is -15!
Feel for all my friends in Atlanta who are getting the snow/sleet stuff again! But it makes for a great stamping day since school/work closed???!! Right!
I was busy designing new stamps last night. Well actually, I was looking at all the things Karissa has sent me and wanted to get some of the images into rubber! Can’t wait for them. My house is a wreck though I’m going to need to take a day to clean it. Hate that. And maybe clean some clothes along the way 🙂
My sister and family are coming for supper tonight so I’d better get to cooking! I have a recipe for The Cheesecake Factory’s chicken costalotta and it is sooooo good! Tastes just like at the restaurant ! I’m either a really good cook or it just tastes so good to be home and making home cooked meals. It’s probably just good to be eating home cooked food 🙂
