Happy Saturday! Quick post with two birthday cards, both have candles in a square. On the first card, the background was created with alcohol inks. Create a water bath and drop alcohol inks into it, then gently lay the paper on top, quickly remove. I dry mine between paper towels but you could use old towels. They will stain though! And each result is different! It is hard to predict how the colors will look but sometimes I make a few and set aside for later use when it works with what I am working on.
