With Sympathy

lily lgI think perhaps this Lily of the Valley stamp is fast becoming a Favorite of Mine!  It was actually the flower in my wedding.  Due to the new stamps we have been frantically working to get stamps done in time for the Indianapolis show.  Little nervous since snow is predicted for Set up day 😦  Well better get back to work 🙂

With Sympathy

very simple sympathy card!  We will see a few cards over the next few days with this stamp.  It’s a big stamp but sometimes we forget to use just parts of them.  This is what this stamp looks like:

H85I usually just stamp it out and then punch out with the circle punch so that I can turn over the punch and look at what I’m punching out!

Well, we are heading south this morning but I’m not sure the weather will be much better!  It does have a forecast for 65 degrees in GA and that will be an improvement of 75 degrees from here.  It was COLD here yesterday.  We also need to load the trailer this morning before we leave since it was so cold yesterday.  It has warmed up to -2 degrees so a little warmer!

Here is another panel from my old window…

With Sympathy

love 1love 2good afternoon 🙂  the house is clean and it’s time to go to work!  Here is my sympathy sending love card.  I think I might try a valentine’s day card with the sending love too! It is such a useful little stamp.  One thing interesting about this card is that I used two different sizes of 3-d-dots and I don’t mean large or small but thickness.  On the flowers I put 1/16″ foam dots and then on the sending love a little higher at 1/8″  Nice to have both sizes!

It is really really really cold here!   Can’t even run to the shop without a coat.  My phone said 3 degrees today and we are going to be unloading the trailer.   Right, we should have done it when it was a little warmer but that’s what snow pants, winter boats, and parka’s are for!

Simple Sympathy

With Sympathy

sympathy flowersHere’s a simple Sympathy Card.  Love the twine.

We are out in Carson, CA getting ready for the original rubber stamp convention.  Getting ready to pick up Karissa from the airport and then set up for the show.

I’ve decided my ear problem is directly related to allergies.  If I skip a Zyrtec pill for one day my ear plugs up and causes all kinds of problems.  As a teenage I remember living on allergy pills and for years have had no problems but seem to be back to living on allergy pills.  At least they help!  Have a good weekend!  Looking forward to heading home soon.

sympathy continues…

With Sympathy

sympathyyso our need for sympathy cards continues…one of my childhood friends mother-in-law died.  We’ve become friends with his wife too so our sympathies go out to her and her family.  It’s so hard to lose a parent.

We are frantically working to get ready for two shows and to go on the road soon.  We would like to be out Friday morning but it’s looking more like we won’t get out of here until Saturday am.  Too many things that need to be done before we go…like closing a pool and different things that can’t be left.  The cold has arrived!  I even broke out the heavy winter coat.

Here is the second phase of what we do.  The first we told you about before the “pulling”  next comes

photo 1-2pulling all the boards and putting the rubber on them.  We love our purple rubber.  It absorbs ink and transfers the ink so well.  Which is exactly what it’s job is!  Well I had better get back to work…this is what my garage look like right now….

garageso if we are going to get the cars in before we leave…there is a lot to do 🙂

What a day!

With Sympathy

sympathy2Pat, one of my customers, sent me a card using these colors and I just loved it so I set out to make one for myself.  It’s hard to tell on the picture but it’s an olive green, lighter olive green, and then some cream too!  Nice and Simple-just the way I like them.

Well it’s been quite a day…I feel like I accomplished nothing but worked all day.  We started off cleaning the house and only got the second floor done…hence nothing complete I still have the first floor to clean in the morning.  Went truck shopping (our truck has 371,000 miles on it and yes I didn’t make a typo) so we keep thinking it is going to stop one of these days…didn’t find a truck…hence that’s not done.  Got home to try and get some of my orders out…ran out of time so I headed to town to get my niece from school.  Hence no orders got out. I had to pick her up at 2:35 but she had a dentist appointment at 4:30 so what’s a girl  to do with a little time?  Yep, go shopping!  So thanks to my good friend Luanne Erickson I’m the proud owner of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.  Can’t wait to start using it.

annie sloanand we won’t be eating for the next month but I’ll be painting 🙂

My Cousin Mark

With Sympathy

weed patch sympathyIt’s amazing what sleep does for the body and soul.  We are feeling better although yesterday was a difficult day.  I appreciate all the expressions of care and sympathy from you all.  My cousin Mark was a great guy that will be sadly missed by his family.  My heart especially goes to his parents, his sister and his children.

After our long drive home from OH, we had about 8 hours at home and then left for Minnesota for the funeral.  Not long ago I made a bunch of sympathy cards so that I would have them when I needed them.  Of course in all the unpacking and repacking I forgot my card.  My sister Sonya (who is an awesome stamper!) forgot her card too.  At 10 pm on Sunday night we are texting Karissa asking her to make us some cards and she came through for us.  I’ll blog those two cards this week.  Still unsure of when my grandfather’s funeral will be so blogging will be a little sketchy!

Hope your Tuesday is a good one!

Sympathy Vellum

With Sympathy

sympathy vellumsympathy vellum insideSo just a couple more vellum cards and then we’ll be on to something else!  Vellum cards make nice easy uncomplicated sympathy cards.  Stamps Used:  E110 Know Pain Shared; F109 Heartfelt Sympathy.  One interesting thing…I never shop WalMart.  Almost never is really the case but sometimes when we are on the road it’s a quick easy stop since they are everywhere…  At home I’ll pay more for something just to avoid WalMart.  But I happened to go there somewhere along our travels (we probably needed snacks for the drive!) and I came upon this jute that you see on the front of the card.  It was only $4 and came in two different packages.  It works awesome.  It’s pliable enough that it’s easy to work with and the bows stay when they are tied.  Love it.  Haven’t looked at my  local WalMart yet since I never go there but for those of you who do…it’s a great product.

juteSorry I forgot to flip the picture!  Any way… Happy Hump Day!  We are almost to the weekend!

Just  nice elegant sympathy card.  Not too much and yet gets the message across..

This is new paper from The Paper Cut, Inc. …they have a new line called manilla.  It looks and feels a little like a manilla folder but a little sturdier.  I think it’s 85 lb. but don’t quote me on that.  I really like the colors.  You can click on their website and look at the different colors that they have.  Have a great day!inside vellum sympathy
